    Kubota vs. Mahindra

How long do you think you'll own the tractor? Something to consider is long term part availability. My Kubota is about 30 years old. Occasionally I need a part or two. I have 3 Kubota dealers within a reasonable driving distance. Of the few little parts I've needed, I can get those parts...

    Stripped frame mounts for loader

Why not pull a couple of the left side fasteners to see how they look and what part the female threads are in. Might give you a clue how it was supposed to be on the right. Then you can decide what to do, drill and tap oversize for example.

    recommend log splitter?

It really depends how you want to use it. Do you want to take the spliltter to the wood, or drag the wood to the splitter? Just for the sake of argument, I think a splitter running a PTO pump could work very well. I have a PTO pump running my backhoe, and the tractor engine just hums along...

    B7100 rops

I ordered a ROPS kit from my local dealer. Unlike Lil Foot's experience, mine was pretty painless. Total price for ROPS plus shipping was about $250 or so. I installed it myself, piece of cake. They will need your serial number, that's about it.

    retro fit loader?

Hard to say, I don't know what you've got for fab skills, tools, and time. What really matteris is do YOU think you can do it? Have you considered purchasing a loader such as a Koyker for example, that might be a bolt on project?

    Kubota fork attachment.

Bingo. I have a set of clamp on Rankin forks for mine, boy are they handy. I could have easily fabricated a similar set, but I found these lightly used for way less than my fab time is worth.

    L185DT 4WD control

I would guess that your mystery lever on the same side as your H/L lever is your 2/4WD. That's where mine is. I leave mine in 4WD, but I don't have any paved ground either.

    Kubota fork attachment.

I'm really surprised at how low they are rated from a capacity standpoint. I may be wrong but I'd guess a tractor that large would have a lift capability of a lot more than 1300lbs?

1200 hd loader help and info

I have the 1200 loader also, I got a manual from tractorsmart.com. I've tried to attach it but it's too large to upload. I can email it to you if you would like.

Adding 2 cycle engine oil to diesel

I'd say if it's clean oil, then absolutely go ahead and use it. If you do some reading on any of the diesel performance pickup sites you'll find many recommend using ~1oz/gallon 2 stroke oil to improve lubricity of ULSD fuel. 2 stroke oil is designed to lubricate and to burn, so no worries. I...

    New to the forum repairing/refurbishing a B8200HST

Kubota seems to keep a tight grip on the manuals. You can find parts manuals for download, but when it comes to service manuals, good luck. I ordered a full set of manuals for mine from Messick's. They are very expensive photo copies of the original manuals, but, they are the best I could...

Sounds good to me, please keep us updated, I have the same tractor and am definately interested in your experience. How did you decide it was time to overhaul?

    B1550 3pt problem

Not sure on your model, but I had the same problem on mine. The lift control lever itself would fall and the implement would follow. Mine has a set of lock nuts that put some preload or friction on the control lever shaft. I loosened the lock nut, snugged the other a couple flats, snug the...

L225 and Landscape rake question. HELP!

That knob controls the rate at which a 3 point impliment will drop, fast to slow. There is no down pressure, just the weight of the impliment.

    Thinking of buying l245 dt

That sounds like a better buy than I got on mine. Mine has plenty of rust and dents, similar hours, and I paid $5800 for the tractor with loader and a 5' brush mower, new front tires, and new rear rims. I love mine, no issues finding parts like filters and seal rebuild kits, etc. I have not...

    Loader seal replacement

I like to leave the body end pinned to the loader and then you can work on the cap. Mine has the wire type, you have to rotate the cap until the end shows through the slot, then get the end up a bit and roll the cap around feeding the wire out the slot.

    Kubota ROPS replacement program

There is a metal tag riveted onto the ROPS that states which models it is intended to be used on. Mine lists 4 or 5 different models from L185 up through L275 if I remember correctly. Maybe someone with a tractor of similar size to yours will chime in and let you know if your model is listed...

    Kubota ROPS replacement program

My L245DT originally had the old style rectangular ROPS, but a previous owner cut it off with a torch. I ordered a new ROPS through my dealer and it is completely different, it's the light bulb shape as you describe.
