Hi,

so my BF300 loader is leaking a little and leaving a puddle on my floor, I have removed the ram/cylinder from the loader and have it sat on my workbench. I have the replacement seal kit ready. I pretty much got stuck at the first hurdle trying to remove the cir-clip, which looks as though it is screwed in, is there a knack or special method in taking these things apart? Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards
Marek

Not sure what you mean by cir-clip. Most cylinders have a endcap that is screwed on. Some do have a heavy wire that is threaded in and you have to pull it out. You should be able to tell what style by looking at it.
Post a pic if you can.

I like to leave the body end pinned to the loader and then you can work on the cap. Mine has the wire type, you have to rotate the cap until the end shows through the slot, then get the end up a bit and roll the cap around feeding the wire out the slot.

Thanks for the replies gents.

To be honest, i only called it a cir-clip because thats what the parts guide calls it, but its not like any cir-clip i've seen before though. I think it might be an endcap of some sort, it has a flat face facing, now I'm just wondering how I can get some purchase on to it so I can undo it.

Hope the pic works

Hard to be sure but it looks like you have the wire type. There should be a elongated hole on the out side close to the end of the cylinder. If not you may have an internal clip type. With that style you need to push in the end cap so you can access the clip

Just realized you may have misunderstood me. The elongated hole will be on the tube of the cylinder close to the end. Not sure if you misread me on that. Otherwise you likely have the internal wire style. You will have to push the endcap with seal, in and dig out the wire retainer.

Hi,
There is definately a wire in there, just been out rotating it around in its groove between the end cap and the tube. I have one in the spares kit I have got, so that must be it. Now to try and force it out...

If you can push the end cap in a little it makes getting the wire out a lot easier.:D
