    Slow pull

Given the season I don't think, if it were mine, I'd make a call on it till at least Spring it seems like though you think it slow it's still a usable speed. Just of curiosity what hydraulic oil did you use last change? Ron

    Shed Size for B Series

Just make sure she knows you need to protect the investment. It won't exactly melt in the rain but the resale value will be higher for a shed kept tractor and the weather related problems should be much reduced! Ron

    Front tire ballast

Devils advocate here.... Now that I've had the 6040 for a couple seasons here I've noticed 1) Without and even to a point with, the FEL on the machine is light in the front. Bushogging tends to raise a front tire on inclines and steering less effective. Weight in loader helps. 2) Compliment...

    Ice/Snow in Georgia

Personally I'd just rather have it all GONE. We've had snowcover more than not since early Dec. Definitely a damper on trying to get the winter chores done. :D But.... the wife worked 4 days in the last three weeks due to holidays and weather.

    1983 L355SS 4WD question

I'd be wondering if they can find the parts you're going to need. That side looks like it'll need most parts replaced, the gears are damaged as well the housing is toast. Might be cheaper just to replace the whole front axle assembly from a donor machine. Just 2 cents but something to...

    Help with wheel bolt/post question

tactics to keep in mind........ if the studs have heads on the backside you'll have to back them out just far enough to be able to cut the head off then screw them out to the outside. Otherwise you'll strip the flange threads ala the messed up stud threads. The heat first is a great help. To...

    M9540 Glow Plug operation

It may well be the 9540 doesn't have a dash panel indicator, my 7040 does, but ya gotta be quick as it only stays on for 2, 3 seconds in the coldest this winter. It won't come on at all till the ambient is below freezing (aprox) If yours is like mine indicator is on the left side of the...

How do I Insure My Kubota ?

I picked up the Kubota insurance when I bought the tractor. It was much cheaper than going through the company I have my homeowners and auto with!

What size bush hog 6' or 7' ???

I guess all us out here can give is 2 cents worth. I made the decision when I got mine to get the 7ft so as to cover the full width of my back tires. I do some nasty terrain not pasture. For flat land I'm not sure it's as important . I can guarantee one thing only, the price goes up in a...

Bad vibe on L2250, Hydraulic Pump?

Groo Have to join in with L4750.... you don't mention if the problem has started since the cold-extremely cold temps you've been having up there lately. If you have it available put it into a warm/heated area and let it thaw out and see if the problem goes away... if so water in the hydraulic.

Correct injector pop-off psi for an L200?

The shop manual for mine does have all the information - yes. I have the feeling <g> everything is model specific but the pressures for my model is 2700 - first stage and 3400 second stage so they're pretty high. Just 2 cents but unless you have a good pattern the pressures are relative after...

B1700 HST coolant in the oil

I'll hope someone more familiar with B1700 history will kick in if there is a known problem with the model (did you do a search?). Most of the time I've seen coolant in the oil it's been - warped head, blown head gasket from being overheated or a cracked head or block from freezing problems...

    B7500 dyno / alternator

I can't say your assembly follows "exactly" like one would for others I've rebuilt but I looks like it was in capable hands. The bearing presses you mention are what is "normal" for most o the ones I've built though. Pleased for ya!

vaccine for bota cracked head syndrom

Looks like a good workable idea with easily available parts. I should have thought though you'll be raising the temp setting some. I would think it runs a lot warmer than that. Post back how you end up setting it.

    B7500 dyno / alternator

I don't know much if anything about the B series specifically but a couple points I can help on. The Japanese (and perhaps others) refer to an alternator as a dynamo regularly. In your place I'd remove the unit and either take it to a local repair shop or at least call one with the numbers and...

    Need a Replacement Engine

Just a thought but, I remember seeing brand new Kubota engines here in the past https://www.surpluscenter.com/engines.asp?catname=engines not saying they have what you are looking for but that it's worth a look.
