B2650 RPMs during start up, operation, and shutdown

Well, the owner's manual says "set the throttle to halfway" (how would you know the exact position for exactly half of max RPM?) so I assume it is position rather than an exact RPM.

    new tractor stalling

I think it's a very reasonable response. I disabled my seat switch on my MX4800 with some black electrical tape wrap holding it down permanently. I agree with not being able to see the forks on this tractor when they are lowered. Pulling into a pallet can be pretty tough. I need to be able to...

B2650 RPMs during start up, operation, and shutdown

When the manual says "half throttle" I'm reading that as sliding the throttle lever to about half-way up it's travel, not half of it's max RPM. I think realistically it doesn't matter. I start my MX at idle most of the time despite what the manual says. I don't care if it regenerates more often.

B2650 RPMs during start up, operation, and shutdown

The discrepancy between half throttle and idle warmups is the DPF. Idling fills the DPF faster than any other RPM; full throttle fills it the least. Kubota picked the mid point between too much engine wear when cold and too much filling of the DPF. The B-series (aside from the 3350) all use...

There should be a lever you can move to slide the seat forward and backwards. Glad to hear you are liking it!

How to tell if dealer filled rear tires?

Pretty easy...valve stem happened to be sitting around the 7 o'clock position based on where the tractor was parked. I just took the valve stem cap off and used a pocket knife to push on the schraeder valve...fluid came out, not air.

    Somewhat Disappointed With The FEL

I don't agree with your statement. Why would a tractor be equipped with a loader if not to move piles of material? I would expect a tractor to be able to utilize it's loader day after day, loaded to it's rated capacity, without fail for a long time. I have three Kubotas and use them in my...

    Somewhat Disappointed With The FEL

I don't have a photo, but my L4310 lifted the rear end of a full-size Ford Bronco with ease (which presumably weighs more than your Wrangler). It seems the OP should be able to accomplish what he is trying to do. Some dealers can perform "load cell" tests to see how much the loader can lift...

How to tell if dealer filled rear tires?

The other tractor had 17.5 x 24 and this one has 14.9 x 26. According to the ballast chart, that is 75 lbs per tire less on this tractor, so good point. BUT...removing the 350lb bucket did not change the feel. It wasn't until I took the whole 1600lb loader off that the feel drastically...

How to tell if dealer filled rear tires?

Thanks SDT. I noticed the valve stems are metal but I can't remember if they came this way or not. I bought the tractor new and once you buy it, it goes into the shop for "prep" for like a week and then you get it. They allegedly loaded the rear with Rim Guard, which I wanted for my application...

    Fuel gauge not accurate?

I wonder if the float on the sending unit has become a little saturated so it cannot quite get to full? Or maybe the rod the float rides on is slightly bent somehow? I've got three Kubotas and the fuel gauge works well on all of them - B2920, L4310, and MX4800. I would note that when on a...

How to tell if dealer filled rear tires?

So I mow steep grass-covered dams. This spring I mowed a particularly steep dam with my L4310, R4 tires, 6-foot flail mower. I backed up the dam and then mowed down. It was fine, no traction issues. This fall I am using my brand new MX4800 with the same exact flail mower on the same dam. Well, I...

Idled my DPF-equipped tractor for 3 hours

Just thought it would be interesting to post this. There is so much discussion regarding how bad idling is for a diesel, particularly a DPF-equipped diesel. Well, I was working on top of a dam last night with hand equipment at a remote site and needed light. So I drove my MX4800 on top of the...

    Damn Dodge

Good police departments will buy police vehicles that get the job done at the lowest tax burden to the public. Of course, the gray area is "what gets the job done?" The police departments running Camaros and Challengers in South Carolina are bending their taxpayers over for zero reason in my...

    51 hours, no regen L4701

Why idle all the way back down the slope? I'd just run it as usual and go. I'm with you on running the engine normally, though. Many people get a bit paranoid about a modern diesel...nothing is going to be harmed by idling a bit, or mid-throttle, etc. I always warm mine up...course it's 25F...

    Damn Dodge

I think it will work out just fine for you. With low mileage and the care you're taking, it'll be in a lot better shape than most.

    Damn Dodge

Yeah...the Hemi engine is a very good motor. People have had hit and miss luck with these trucks. Some have great luck. In my area of the salty northeast, they seem to rust out sooner than similar vintage GM's and Fords, especially over the rear wheel wells. They also have some electrical...
