I would try switching plugs to see if it fires. I have had a bad plug not fire would rule that out. Next if it fires then new plug. If not then I would try coil. You can test coil.

I would also check plugs. I had a mule that ran poorly on one plug

I agree sounds like carb if it has one. Sound like idle jet is clogged which could be from ethonyl gas. The idle jet is usually smaller of the two. I usually take out both and make sure they are clean. The jet also have holes on side that can clog.

We use cresote powder rutland cresote remover. One scoop a week onto coals. We burn all winter and have little creasote when chimney is cleaned. I bought powder at home depot it was cheaper than the tubes.

I process wood too. I am getting grapple to assist with cleaning up. Love the idea of using to keep log off ground for cutting. Have pto chipper to clean up tops. Worse part for me is moving the cut wood. Using the loader seems to require a lot of ballast.
