Capital One Credit Card

Just received an unsolicited credit card from Capital One. Called to ask why, and was told that they are converting to Master Card as a "business decision" and dropping Visa as your card expires. No mention of this change with the new credit cards. Now on the hunt for another band with a good rewards program (cash back) that issues the Visa card

Two of my banks have switched from Visa to MC within the past six months. Don't know why.

Cause visa sat on thier comfy lead and mastercard has vastly better digital services, security and regulatory compliance worldwide. A good many big banks/cards are switching this last quarter

MasterCard has become better than Visa over the last few years.
Doesn't really matter to me, as they are both accepted at the same places.

That was my thought as well. I wonder why the preference

I've had a capital one MC for over 18 years now with great customer service.

My citi switched to mc. Nothing much change. i would not choose capital one due to how they report to credit agencies or did in past. They report both balance and high balance as same number which deflates credit score.

I don't ever have a problem, since today all credit card companies report monthly your balance. I always pay off my balance before the due date so I can maintain a high credit score. Your credit score is based on your total available credit and how much of that you have used. The ratio of credit to how much is used will determine your score. My score has fluctuated as much as 20 points month to month depending on my spending. I have a high upper credit limit on my cards with Capital One presently but if they convert all my cards to Master Card, that might change. I use my cards for business purchases exclusively.

C1 is more 2A friendly than most. I'll stick with them regardless of what logo is on it.

Wow, back then you could see most girls undies almost anytime. The skirts were short and the legs were long. I loved the '60's and all that it entailed. Pun intended, cause I got my share, and probably someone else's.
