Adding power steering to a B8200

Yep I have been playing with it all afternoon. Did a couple of tweaks. Put my forks on my bucket, picked up half a face cord of firewood and was able to drive all over. Amazing! I lucked out and found the cylinder and valve on kijiji for $215 with shipping.

Adding power steering to a B8200

Finally got my fittings and was able to put it together. Works amazing even at idle:). I will eventually make a better bracket up for the steering knuckle and get new hoses for the cylinder. Have about $300 into it so far.

Wanted d950 Head or will a d850 head work

Not sure on the market but I'm sure like anything the harder you work at it the more likely you'll sell the parts you don't need. I'm not sure if you priced out a new head but I think I heard they are around $1200 new and a used one if you could find one are about $600 (plus taxes and shipping?).

What to buy - HST or Gear ?

With the jobs that you have listed I would get the HST. I've heard the gear trannys are more robust and are better suited for tractors that do a lot of ground engaging tasks but sounds like you'll be using the fel quite a bit and you will not regret getting the HST. I've never had one so I...

Dusty I think the lights are the best thing you have done in this thread. They look awsome. Are you going to install hazard lights also?

    fuel system flush ?

I've heard guys mention about filling the filter housing with conditioner cleaner and then firing that through the system. Never tried it but sounds like it would work. Orangefox40 I think you are referring to the air vent screw. It's to bleed the system so that you don't have to loosen the lines.

    decent price for a b7200 hst 4wd

A tractor like that in my area go for as high as $9000:eek:. Thats why I imported my B8200 from Pennsylvania. Two years ago I sold my B6200 FEL , turf and AG tires with 600 hours for $8500.

Lifting a reading work box with A463 FEL

I'm sure it's doable but try to have as little weight out in front of the loader as possible. I would take it very slow and make sure you have enough ballast on the rear of the tractor. Picture when you do it would be nice.

I think that one is kinda pricey by the time you get it shipped and pay taxes. The ones I saw were right here in Ontario and the guy was asking $1000.
