Still thinking about this. Does anyone have an idea of what bore cylinder would work best? I was thinking small like 1 inch as it would have a quicker response from my small pump.

I can picture the WARNING sticker for that option.:D

I hope that valve was your problem. I'm not sure about your old battery tray but mine is attached to the fender also with a couple of bolts but if yours feels secure I'm sure it will be fine.

Dusty thats your air vent screw. When I had my B6200 I used it to bleed the system. The one on my B8200 is broken and would have to loosen the lines to bleed it.

Just did a google search and they do have 3.5hp log splitters. This one has a 3" by 18" ram, 2.7 GPM and is 8 ton.

Sounds like you have everything you need. Tractordata.com has the B7100 pump listed as 3 GPM. If you have everything and don't mind it being slow then I would go for it. You should check to see what size pump your neighbor has. You don't see 3.5 hp log splitters very often.

I hate to discourage you but I'm trying to save you some money unless you have the materials already handy. I've read that the hydraulic pumps on the B7100 won't be up to snuff for the large rams that a log splitter requires(disappointing eh:(). You'll be waiting forever for it to run it's...

I guess Vic thinks it's a ground! On older tractors I find it is a bad ground 9 times out of 10. It's very easy to check and fix.

Went to the machine shop and got the tires back with the brackets. Really love this guys work and they fit perfect. Just need to paint them up. I'm glad I didn't attempt to do this myself.

Is the socket getting a good ground? You can try running a jumper cable to the socket from a good ground to see if thats your problem.

My car has the two marks and in the manual it says to make sure the oil is between the marks and add if below the bottom mark. If this is the case with kubota's dip sticks then Valvejob I would remove a little oil to get it between the marks.

Keep you eye on the local classifieds in Ontario. A couple months ago I saw a couple of complete D950 engines come up for sale on kijiji. You could take the head and what ever else you needed and then part out the rest.

I also think the top mark is a high mark and the lower mark is a low oil mark.

Dusty your doing good. I don't have a repair manual for the B8200 but have one for the B6200 and B7200. It lists the valve clearance on the D950 as 0.0057 to 0.0073 in. Is the B8200 D950 that different?

Most of the mowers I've seen have a cover on the side discharge when they have mulching blades.

Your frame seems to be in good shape from the pictures you just showed. Has it been previously painted? When the fenders and floor boards are off it's the best time to change the tranny fluid. Makes things a lot easier. Dion

Hey your shop is just like mine! Everything including the tin is orange. Must feel good having it almost done. If oil comes out of the bell housing then what has happened to the clutch?:eek: Could you take some pictures while adjusting your valves as I plan on tackling it some day. Dion
