I have had some beefs about my dealer but the delivery event went exceptionally well, especially as I screwed up some paperwork. Sales rep just brought a fix with him and we were done. I very much appreciated that, now even more so given the ops experience.
I guess I am a bit of a hummer freak. We have 8 to 10 feeders up year round. Had about a dozen Anna's winter here this year. Ruffous showed up end of March. They are great fun to watch.
You need an unassailable reason to buy it. When we quit travelling south for winter we had to have a way of clearing the driveway of snow to get out. Kubota lives here now.
Yup - that's it. Had the issue with mine and while getting at the nut is a little finicky it's doable. Wildfire posted a video on the issue (sorry not sure where to find it these days).
Looked at a JD before I bought the BX. Dealer seemed a decent sort and we even kind of agreed on a price. BUT he was a small dealer and in our discussions it became clear JD really didn't support the little guy. He seemed bitter. As it turned out I didn't buy (was still unsure on model and size)...
Another Rube Goldberg implement. Looked at rake options to clean up small fir branch windfall and decided an old bed frame and some 6" spikes would work for what I need ( and it does!)
We don't normally get a lot of snow here but this week has been a BIG exception. Gave me an opportunity to try out my version of an edge tamer. I wasn't comfortable leaving the tooth bar on (could do lots of damage in a hurry) but I did take advantage of the toothbar mounting system.

When ever I log on I hit the Todays post button to see whats new (as opposed going into each section). I look at the posts of interest and, if needed, search for specifics.
Many of the posts I do read have nothing to do with the BX I drive and I learn a lot in the process.
Well, it's GOOD, but not perfect. I was loading some topsoil today after I finished was headed up the the tractor port (nee carport) when I said to myself "look at those teeth - they're filthy!). So now I have to floss The Kids teeth before bed!
Thanks Hokie, that's helpful.
I was thinking the supply side of the things would have a different pressure than the return (wrong) - makes more sense to me now.

This; http://www.orangetractortalks.com/fo...ad.php?t=15851 should get you to the thread with all the info you need."
Thanks for the link - Info was helpful. I am left with one question. In Dave_engs post a picture of a gauge with a male end is...
