Hey bird guys has anybody seen and hummers yet this year?

Amy has the feeders out, put them out yesterday.

They're at my place in Peoria year round, and I saw a couple yesterday at the cabin, so I put up two feeders, but they haven't found them yet.

We've got a few birds. We have 5 houses. I saw and heard them when I was out organizing junk nearby!!

I guess I am a bit of a hummer freak. We have 8 to 10 feeders up year round. Had about a dozen Anna's winter here this year. Ruffous showed up end of March. They are great fun to watch.

I just awakened from a coma! I rescind my comment in the previous post. The birds I saw and heard were Martins!!!

Haven't seen any here. Neighbor puts out feeders and they usually stop by and cruise the flower beds out front. Had one get a little territorial last year. Used to buzz us when out walking the dog or mowing close to the flower bed

We have 2 identical feeders and for some reason they will always empty the oldest one first and we also have a third one a little different design that they will hardly touch, can't figure it out. It'll be a while yet before we see any.

We have had them for at least a week here in East Texas. Not too many here yet but they are comeing.
We've had Monarchs for maybe 2 weeks. We get quite a few but not near as many as they see up & down I-35 several miles either side.

Had the same mystery. Bought two feeders they wouldn't touch. Ended up giving them away. They were an unusual design.

Been seeing them for the last few weeks around the house. This evening I was out in the shop and one "got stuck" trying to get "out" through the roof (when it's dark out and they're in the shop, apparently they think that the white roof is the sky). Well it along with others before it tired out and landed, but instead of landing on a rafter, he landed on the top of some junk piled up on top of my car. Well I just reached out bluntly, grabbed the tiny thing and carried it outside & let it go. It flew off nicely. Never done that before. I figured it'd try to bite me but didn't even try to. Normally I just turn the lights off and they'll fly out but I wasn't ready to do that so just thought maybe I can grab it & take it out. Crazy birds. There is a dragonfly out there right now that's bigger than the bird was! Biggest dragonfly I've ever seen.

And yes the butterflies are around too...one was stuck to the truck grilled the other day and it got used for fish bait. Bass seem to like them, but there's not much a bass won't eat.

Yard is FULL of fireflies aka lightning bugs tonight too. Millions of them hanging about 6" off of the grass.

Lugbolt, them are not fireflies....that's a nearly full moon you're seeing!
