Moved a deer stand with my pallet forks today

Haha! It was opening weekend but I didn't hunt because I was trying to check the last few items off the list. I enjoy the camp work as much as I do the hunt.

Moved a deer stand with my pallet forks today

I put my titan pallet forks to work today. I moved one of our deer stands several hundred yards to a new plot. The pictures make it look easier than it was. We safely delivered it to it's new home but it was quite a challenge. We encountered lots of uneven ground, hills and water bars. On top...

    Piranha Toothbar

I've removed a number of trees this Fall with my PTB. I can hook some trees and pull them out roots and all but most just bend over or get skinned up. I've started to take a scoop or two to loosen the roots. I dump the dirt right where I scoop it and push the tree over. I then work the root...

I will start using this procedure from this point forward. This has been an informative discussion. Thanks to all who replied.

How much diesel treatment do you put in the tank?

I've been using Clear Diesel treatment for slime and water for as long as I've had my tractor. I just splash a little in the tank and fuel cans because it says the 32 oz container will treat 100 gallons. I noticed I had a little slime in my fuel can recently and I thought I might have been going...

    Piranha Toothbar

I have removed a lot of brush and dug a lot of dirt with my PTB. I have since graduated to removing 4-5" trees. We are trying to reclaim some of our food plots as the trees have started to encroach on the perimeter. All it takes is a couple of scoops to loosen the roots on one side and then...

Float mode... to use or not?

I recently mowed some unknown ground. I curled my bucket up and kept it as low as I could with the hydraulics engaged. I did not use float mode. I did locate a few stumps with my bucket and saved my cutter. Make sure to keep your speed low.

    Rear Carrier

I did the same thing with a deer basket and put our sprayer in it. Worked great!

    L3200 light upgrade

It feels good to get a project like that finished up. I purchased the same lights and did nothing with them for over a year. I recently got mine rigged up on the ROPS. Now I want to install a rear view mirror under my canopy.

    Foul Weather Shelter

I bought a 10x20 shelter from Harbor Freight 4 years ago. It survived a pine tree and multiple tropical storms. The most recent tropical storm Gordon tore the canopy. For a $100 it sure last much longer then I thought it would,

    Bush hog almost stalled engine

I fell better about it now. I usually mow slow but I may have backed in kind of quickly into the thick grass too. As always, thanks for the responses.

    Bush hog almost stalled engine

Twice yesterday my bush hog bogged down and the tractor engine almost stalled. I lifted the cutter and the engine recovered. I was transitioning from thin grass and backed into some very thick, heavy bladed grass. The cutter was low to the ground and I realize now I should have raised the cutter...

How long did your original battery last?

I wish I had my tractor at my house right now. I just couldn't get away to go get it at the camp today. Sure hope a pine tree doesn't fall on it.

How long did your original battery last?

I purchased my L3800 new in 2014. It's still cranking fine on the original battery but I've been wondering if I should just go ahead and replace it.

We have a ditch that's filled in with sediment similar to your situation. We plan to rent a small track hoe to tackle the job.

Considering canopy with cooling fan on a B7100HST-D

I had a frame built for my canopy out of angle iron. Before mounting, I sprayed it with bed liner from a can and it has not rusted one bit. I'm in south Alabama where the sun is quite intense in the summer. I wanted a large canopy so I mounted a 4x6 piece of 3/4" treated plywood and painted it...

Landscape Rake..what a pain in the...

I guess I misunderstood the intended purpose of a landscape rake. To give a little more detail of the problem, I would push a pile of limbs off the food plot and when I pulled away many of the tangled branches would come with the rake. It isn't often that I need to push limbs but then next time...
