I don’t use additives unless there’s a problem like me thinking injectors clogged up, water in fuel or the black slime growing in tank is the only reasons I’ve ever used additives. Usually just using my equipment and refueling often keeps most that from happening. I don’t run any anti gel either in my tractor or my Freightliner. If I was gonna be in 10 degree weather with the motor off regularly I might change my mind on that but the fuel pump warms and circulates the fuel in the big truck and I expect it does the same in the Kubota. If it’s 10 degrees outside I’m not gonna have a reason to be on the Kubota till it warms up a lot

Keep seeing the reference to 'black slime' what is that anyway. Never had that. Now I have had red slime from bio-diesel and that is an expensive fix. Needless to say I don't use bio now. Last go around with B20 cost me over a grand in parts.

Some of the additives will strip the coating off the filter material in the mr funnel and then it won't work right, and so if you want to remove the water, a good idea! you need to put the additive in the tractor tank first, and then filter the diesel as it goes into the tank second.

I will start using this procedure from this point forward.
