When loading your tractor, think it through

This is my solution to that problem. I often unload on uneven ground so I put the blocks on the side of the dovetail not the back. Untitled by bambam32, on Flickr[/IMG] Untitled by bambam32, on Flickr[/IMG]

    Kubota Service Department HELP!!

Call the local TV station and get them to help you investigate your problem. I’ve seen it done here locally. Nobody likes cameras and microphones showing up at their business asking questions.

    L3800 wheel spacing and stability

I thought a had left my manual at the camp but I found it in my truck so I was able to answer some of my own questions. I looks like my rear wheels are set to the narrowest position. I should be able to change my rear wheel width by about 7” from 43.8” to 50.8”, center to center. According to...

    L3800 wheel spacing and stability

I’d like to improve the stability of my L3800. My machine is primarily dedicated to the hunting camp. I’m growing weary of the rocking while navigating bumpy roads and uneven fields. I’m tryin to figure out the best path forward. I have loaded R1 tires and I think I can swap them to give me a...

    Seat upgrade

I’m considering a new seat after running my disk over areas damaged by feral hogs Saturday. My back is sore from the bouncing and I was deliberately going slow. I’ve got an OEM seat that came on my L3800 and I always wear my seat belt. If I got a seat that is more a captains chair style I’m...

BX23S - Wiring question for adding ROPS lights

I ran mine directly to the battery with a fuse and a relay. I got the harness on Amazon but had to add more wire. I did not want to make any electrical modifications to the original wiring.

    Trailer Deck Stain

I used a paint brush but I do appreciate the safety warning. I have never heard of that potential hazard. Scary.

    Trailer Deck Stain

Went to Home Depot and picked up a gallon of boiled linseed oil. It was 94 degrees today so I put on some sunscreen and got started. It coated the entire deck of my 20’ trailer with some left over. Thanks for the tip.

    DIY Tractor Cover

I made a loose fitting cover for my L3800 out of a retired 14’x48’ billboard sign. Untitled by bambam32, on Flickr[/IMG] Overall dimensions are about 11’x17’ Untitled by bambam32, on Flickr[/IMG] The sign has a sleeve on each end. I slid a piece of pvc pipe in the sleeve and...

    Zirks all the same ??

I’ve got a L3800 and I need to replace a few clogged zirks. Does anyone know if the zirks on my tractor are all the same size and same thread type? I’ve never replaced one before and I’d like to buy a kit to keep on hand. Thanks.

    Degreasing a loader

Over the past five years a lot of grease has accumulated and collected dirt and twigs around the pivot points. It’s a mess and I cleaned some of it of with WD-40 today. I guess I could hit it with a power washer but is there a better a to get this cleaned up?

    Disc Harrow w/L3200?

I cut it down to about 7’ and screwed in two eye bolts. I run two chains from the pole to the disk. The pole doesn’t compress the soil like a cultipacker. It just smooths, levels and covers the seed. FIW, we always spray before disk and plant.

    Disc Harrow w/L3200?

I have a 6’ disc with 20” blades that weighs 650 lbs. My L3800 pulls it plus a telephone pole without a problem. You don’t have to turn over ever blade of grass to get something to grow so I don’t use any extra weight. Deep tillage is not necessary. You just need to scratch the surface. We...

Trailer Bearings, how many miles before you change them?

I have bearing buddies and I do keep them greased. I probably won’t put 500 miles on the trailer every year. However, I want to do whatever I can to prevent getting stuck on the side of the highway. I always stop mid trip and check the bearings for excessive heat. Thanks for the feedback.

Trailer Bearings, how many miles before you change them?

I’ve got a 20’ trailer that I bought new two years ago. I rarely use it but it got me thinking when I pulled my tractor home 50 miles yesterday.

    toolbox add-on for L39 TLB?

I like the tractor caddy idea. I'd be interested in hearing from someone who has one of these. I've been holding off on getting a chainsaw scabbard because I'd still have to find another way to haul my fuel and oil. You could easily put a small ice chest on it too.

    Add lights to ROPS

If I had to do it again I would use some strong magnets with a threaded stud. You can get some heavy duty magnets that will hold quite a bit of weight.

    LED Work Lights

Nice work. What is the purpose of the poles on your bucket? Does it have something to do with snow removal?
