Stuck

Genius idea to get a tractor out of the mud. Pick this up from a hunting forum so I thought I'd share. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnRRGW6z3UQ&feature=youtu.be

    Stuck

Yea what a mess. Fortunately everything seems to operating as normal. Had to twist the blade because it was contacting the ground at that angle. It happened quick and I'm glad it's over.

    Stuck

Buried my rig yesterday and had to leave it over night. After several failed attempts we were lucky to locate a guy with a 15,000 lb. winch. What a pain. [/IMG]

    Top link Replacement

$40 bucks at tractor supply. I have the original one that came with my tractor and I bought an extra long one for my disk and cutter. I use the shorter one with my grader.

Who do you let drive your tractor (unsupervised)?

This is exactly where I was going with this post. Sad but true, if someone is not responsible for the repair, maintenance or monthly payment, most won't treat it like it's theirs if no one is watching. There is a guy in my club who leaves his tractor at the camp for everyone to use. It's an...

Old man I know told me don't ever let anyone drive your tractor...they will tear it up.

Thanks for the replies. I have never taken my FEL off. Hopefully is was just low from the start.

Is it normal for hydraulic fluid to get low over time

I've got an L3800 HST 4x4 with a FEL. I haven't noticed any leaks but I had to add about a quart of fluid. I put a level on the floor in front of the seat to make sure the tractor was level. I only have 73 hours on it. Is this normal or is it likely that I have an actual leak? Thanks

    Problems with loader float setting

I find that when I try to ease my FEL into the float position it will lift the front tires as you described. I solved the problem by getting the bucket closed the ground and then giving the joystick a quick snap into the float position.

    5' or 6' grader blade?

I've got an L3800 and plan to do some road maintenance. My goal is to restore the crown in the roads at my camp and fill in the ruts. We've got a lot of dirt piled on the sides that's preventing water from running off. I found a 5' grader for $150 but I'm afraid it'll be too short if I turn it...

    Close Call

Some of the wood is rotten but I think we can use some of it. We cut it up into manageable pieces and pushed it into the burn pile. My piranha tooth bar worked great scraping the limbs. I used to work in Bay Minette many years ago. Small world my friend.

    Close Call

Bad weather at the camp the other night. Tree fell and barely missed my tractor. Man was I lucky.

    BXpanded Tool Box Installed

Installed my new BXpanded tool box yesterday. Plan on keeping my hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves and all other smaller items in it. I installed it myself but it would have been quicker with two people. As you can see My ROPS is not lacking in decorations. I also have a fire...

    Lock it!

I put a coupler lock under my clutch so it can't be depressed. I also put the PTO lever in the on position and put two padlocks in the off position. I'm sure someone savvy could bypass them both somehow. However, it will involved some cutting and making noise and it's more things they will have...

    Tool box on '08 L3400

I'm about to order this one. I contacted the mfg today and the tool box can be mounted on either the left or right side of the ROPS. It can also be mounted across the tractor. http://bxpanded.com/index.php?l=product_detail&p=62

    New fire extinguisher mount

I purchased this Moose ATV fire extinguisher mount. It fit perfectly on my ROPS. I was on the tractor all day and it held up nicely. FWIW, I also included a pic of the shot gun shell pouch that I also attached to my ROPS. I've got one on each side. They're great for extra pins, sunscreen...

Why nobody talking about rachet rake

I went with the piranha tooth bar instead of the ratchet rake. You get the benefit of digging and raking. Just turn the bucket down and back up to rake. It's also is great at clearing brush and small trees. It's been the best addition to my tractor arsenal.

    Bush Hog HP Requirements

Thanks for everyone's input. I purchased the bush hog today for $450. It's a 2009 model he purchased brand new. He used it a few times and it's been residing under a tarp for about 4 years. The blades are still sharp and have no nicks. I'm planning on changing the oil in the gear box. Never done...

    Bush Hog HP Requirements

I have an L3800 HST and the HP at the PTO is approximately 30. I found a used bush hog and the manufacturer's website states that it's not recommended for tractors exceeding 30 HP but it has a 40 HP gear box. Do you think the mfg is referring to the HP at the PTO or the engine? They are closed...
