    High vs. Low range...

If you are 'side' mowing that, I'd have a weighted, wheeled outriggers to give me some stability increase, that's a nasty slope to be mowing on. I'd only mow that beast up and down, not side to side, way too much pucker factor for me! Sorry, I'd terrace that puppy and plant something on...

    Landscape Rake

Sometimes you can find a cheap hay rake that either needs TLC or just a new home... they put things in nice rows for you to scoop up. Landscape rakes just seem like they don't do much to me but make dirt look purdy.

L3800 HST and Caroni 73" Flail Mower

Dunno GP... I actually read the owners manual on my LandPride 60" rotary and it expects me to adjust the clutch before start up every season and once every so many hours on the unit. I wondered if any owners actually DO that but reading through the process it looks like a royal pain in the...

    B1750 Electronics don't work

Could be a bad solenoid, relay to solenoid... etc. Fuse should only affect the one run, unless it's got some kind of main fuse for the whole system, and if that is blown, I'd look for some sort of major short from the box back, those should never blow unless you get a dead short across multiple...

Need Help: ZD28 Temperature Fluctuating/Red Lining at Start Up

You could have an electrical problem with the sender if it's an electric type, sounds like it could be a worn or frayed wire touching the block or a power line of some kind. If it's an old analog thermal lead type, those shouldn't bounce at all, they tend to either work or not... If it's some...

New owner trying to fix issues.

You can check the bulb by removing it and looking at the filament. If it's still intact the bulb should work... or double check it by giving it juice, if it glows, it's good! Then you know it's either the sender or the wire itself causing the issue. Turn signals likely use a different flasher...

    KTAC Insurance Increase???

It likely does not. In case of total loss it will likely only cover your tractor in a pro-rated sense. If it's 5 years old, they will replace same model same year or approximate value thereof. KTAC will get you a brand new machine within the first 5 years (I think that's the time frame...

    RPM operating range

My L3200 also likes about 2000 RPM but I've taken it as high as 2400 where it felt like I wasn't getting the work for the speed, like I was transitioning from torque to HP, which is important for some implements, generally non-ground engaging ones that need higher PTO speeds.

tipped b7800 onto its left side

What you experienced is what I was euphemistically calling 'feeling tipsy'. Yeah, I know it's almost instant when it actually happens and you have to react to counter it. Generally speaking, I've had it happen on a couple of tractors and the best indicator was a loss of traction on the tire...

New to tractors, new to Kubota

I have an L3200 and a 60" box blade (Landpride BB1260). Full down, rippers and cutting it works fine, especially in 1st (slow as a snail, my kid runs circles around the tractor). I also run in 2nd but you notice the implement then, the engine starts to work (nothing wrong with that but harder...

    KTAC Insurance Increase???

It covers everything but acts of terrorism and war. Personally, if a terrorist goes for my Kubota, I'll take it out of his hide long before the authorities get him. I purchased all 5 years of my KTAC policy with the tractor. They can't raise rates on me! Since it's 0% interest, I suggest...

BX2360 w/ RCK60B23BX MMM and Anti Scalp wheels

Sounds to me like you need to get some dirt and start filling in the low spots so the high spots stop damaging your wheels! If you get the damage from cresting hillocks all the time, approach them at more of an angle or raise the deck just before you crest or go down. Your grass will thank you...

    12V block heater???

Running tractor? I think the best option would be to store the vehicle in a heated shed (multiple benefits to the unit) and load 'er up and keep it running up until the point you are ready to drive off, then shut 'er down and drive to location. Unless it's an hour away, everything will still...

tipped b7800 onto its left side

I don't think I'd ever feel wounded by a Mahindra pulling my Kubota back upright. It's a bit like having a Yugo pull your stuck Mercedes out of a snow bank. It has nothing to do with the vehicles, just the conditions. The situation could easily be reversed. As for rolling a tractor, my...

L3800 HST and Caroni 73" Flail Mower

Sounds like it cuts bonzo style, I like it! Any bets as to how long anyone thinks that yellow paint will be on those blades? Maybe you could hook up some magnets on the back of the mower to grab any materials that fly off! Most I've ever tackled with my rotary is about ½" mesquite saplings...

    Tiller Repair

Flux core introduces slag, just like a stick, however if done properly in both instances you'll not have inclusion (porosity) problems. You can avoid inclusions by having clean metal and proper welding settings as well as proper technique. Flux core and gas shield is overkill. Flux core uses...

    BX1860 Front Aux Hydraulic Controls

That's exactly what the two ropes (look at the controls area they are a little hard to see) are for on this ancient digger... My father did the same thing all the time with them. I, will never use them.

    zd28 Problems

That is odd that it won't crank with the parking brake on, but then again, who knows what logic is put into that thinking, maybe they don't want it running with you 'off' the machine. My motorcycle won't run with the kickstand down unless the gears are in neutral, otherwise it shuts off the...
