    b3300su starting problems

Let go of the key? You mean take it back from the starter engage position to the run position? Or is it actual release of the key itself that triggers it to stop?

    Battery Replacement

You can buy battery terminal cleaner and protector spray at any NAPA or WalMart. It's fairly cheap and it should be used on batteries annually. I normally like household item use like Baking Soda but in this case, that's an emergency neutralizer method, get the spray stuff. It lasts longer...

    Key Switch Starter Issue

If you are diligent in your routine (checking everything, making sure all is clear, etc.) before starting you can bypass a clutch safety switch. It's really there to stop you from cranking it over while you are down on the ground and could be run over by the tractor if it's in gear when you...

    B7100 Front screen (radiator)

Put a continually rotating belt of 'screen door' material on a pair of rollers powered by a small 12V motor. The belt would run the junk off to drop down to the ground, especially if you had a brush against it on the bottom roller. Just make up a frame, wood or metal, and off you go.

Build Thread: A heated cab from scratch

Re: And I'm an idiot.... Looks nice. I think I would've fabbed up the inside cover plate in plex, not metal, so I could see the linkages easily. I like to keep an eye on the pins and such, well, having lost a few around the property that would take Indiana Jones to find these days...

Choices L3800 DT or L3901 HST

As a gear drive owner, I can attest that you do have to do one more operation to get the tractor into forward or reverse... step on the clutch! The L3200 is the easiest (geared) tractor to move in forward or reverse I've ever driven. In my first 20 minutes of running the scraper I was so...

B7100 hydraulic question for the pros out there

To Tooljunkie's point, SAE is still commonly used in hydraulics but more normally for the port connections on the valves. JIC is more common for hose connections. I've run into exceptions for both and it's quite maddening. I wish units had the standard they used put on plaque right on the...

B7100 hydraulic question for the pros out there

No intent to hijack the thread, just have a similar question about Power Beyond and Open Center. I'm told that Power beyond isn't all that fancy. That it is a better way to deal with daisy chaining valves where you might be inclined to use a diverter. My current FEL/Backhoe uses a diverter...

    engine heaters

I would always default to a freeze plug heater if at all possible, and then to the lower radiator one. Magnetic oil heaters can only keep up with mildly cold temps. The freeze plug heater actually sits in the engines coolant and directly heats it. The lower radiator one also heats the coolant...

Build Thread: A heated cab from scratch

It's a beauty all right. Love the design. I might fab up a fabric cage one for winter but the coldest my area gets is around 10-20°F. I might be able to get by with just an electrically heated suit. If it gets really, really, really cold there, you might want to insulation wrap those coolant...

    M7500dt

5600hrs is a lot. If that were a car running an average of around 30 mph down the road, that is almost 170000 miles. (Just a quick math trick to correlate hours to a mileage mark for folks that don't really understand wear on diesel engines but do on gas engines) Now that time is not just on...

    Fueling my L3800 sucks !

I don't have issues with those cans in 2 gal or less. Anything larger would need 3 hands! Well, I lied, I do have 1 issue with them, if you let up just a smidge in pressure on the lever it resets and needs to have that little 'fill' lever pushed again to let it start flowing. It's overly...

    Turf to Ag or Industrial

The difference in the tires seems to be function. The AG tires are narrower to fit in crop rows, but they also are adjustable in width (at least on the rear). The industrial tires are wider but can't be adjusted width wise. They have a decent footprint but aren't as deep grooved as the AG...

Looking for buying advice for my 15 acres

They are getting rarer, but I understand there are still some 2013 L3200/L3400's running around without DPF. Mine is one of them. Now, I also understand that it's more of an inconvenience because it chews up more fuel as it runs at high RPMs to burn off the 'buildup' in the system, which to me...

    Fueling my L3800 sucks !

I've used those cans a lot Lil Foot, they don't need a 3rd hand if you just keep the nozzle pressed down to keep the valve open. They do take some getting used to, that is if it's the same mechanism I have on a similar looking can that I use to fill my D-17 with. (They are useless if that...

    LA210 hydraulics troubleshooting

Sounds like an end was incorrectly installed, damaged and letting oil down the reinforcement channel, effectively blocking the line. I'm sure you had words with the maker of the replacement line. Nice Catch.

Kubota L275 super hard to start

A little MAPP gas or Propane from an unlit torch into the intake can help start a diesel that has some minor injector issues (not enough atomization cold), but it has to be added AFTER the glow plugs are off, just before you cranks. If you have a compression release, use it. You can also use a...
