    Mower Blade wear problems

For the center to be wearing, the grass would have to be avoiding the tips (pushed down etc.) and popping back up to be cut by the mid section of the cutting surface. It sounds like it's a vacuum/airflow issue. Short of 'looking' under the deck as it's mowing, across the grass and seeing if it...

I won't start the holy war here, but just so you know, a lot of Windows PC's are still running 12 years later. Any well maintained PC and OS will last for a long time. Apple only offers N-1 support for their OS. Microsoft supported Windows XP until this year, 15 years after its creation...

Has anyone actually replaced the HST fan on a BX series tractor?

So am I. I ran a board using this software many years ago. I can't say where it's at now, but it had its glitches back then too.

RTV900 HST amount of magnet contamination?

Not necessarily. If something has been recently replaced, that could all be break-in metal that missed the cleaning processes at the factory. Magnetic force decreases with the amount of magnetized material and distance from the magnet so it wouldn't be unusual for you to get more if you...

So what firebox setup would cause that?

    Hydraulic Auto Height Height setting

Welcome to the forum! I don't think your tractor is broken and you've already figured out some of the cool functions of the 3 point, so you're ahead of the game in many ways. That nice little number chart on the 3pt lift lever looks precise, but it isn't. It generally ends up being more of a...

Has anyone actually replaced the HST fan on a BX series tractor?

It's probably a database glitch. The software is actually looking at a large database and if the 'author' field has a numeric error that actually lines up with another author it will happily claim that wrong person as the author. On the plus side, you might be able to edit the comment and say...

Finally found that Ditch and Hillside mowing attachment suite...

Nope, YouTube tossed it at me as a video I might like... it was right. :)

    L1801dt stripped head bolt

Good job. If you didn't like the helicoil option or it fails, you can always do a brazing job and retap the hole. There are some other modern versions of helicoil type fixes as well.

    Propane

I do believe there are kits and installations to do this. However I do think you need to be licensed and certified for it to be insured on it.

Anyone with Windows 8 that doesn't like it should upgrade to Windows 10, you will like it much better. D2Cat, maybe I can answer you this way: Are you happy with your car? Someone offers you a brand new car, same type, maybe a few upgrades in the car, but they've moved some stuff around and...

    AC compressor works sporadically

Sounds like you either have low Freon or an air leak under pressure. There is a switch that will not allow the compressor to run without enough Freon. Now, for cables ol' me... the AC is a spray bottle and hopefully a nice breeze. :D

    L1801DT Clutch stuck

You can de-rust things chemically but that is usually a bad idea with a clutch. You can try impact items like hammers and/or pneumatic hammers, basically vibrate it loose. Speaking strictly for myself, I think I'd want to split a tractor that hasn't been running for many years just to clean it...

    oil pressue switch

You might consider replacing that switch with a gauge unless the switch is needed as an interlock for running the tractor.

Any help or suggestions for body work

Oh, I hear you on this. The tins on my D-17 mock me every time I look at them... I want to paint them but do I really want to paint them with the dents too! Ugh.

I'd have to be in two places... I'm stuck here in California for a few more years but my ranch and my Kubota is north of Abilene, TX!
