    G5200 hydro transmission info

I was chasing down a slow leak and come to find out, the previous owner welded a crack in the transmission case and the weld is no longer holding. Buyer beware. It's on the right side where the 4 bolts go from the frame into the housing. Anyone have any information the transmission? Model...

    B2920 replacement

I get confused on the different B models, but the guy at my local dealer said he wouldn't sell me a B3350 because they've been so problematic due to the diesel particulate filter. I do like the physical size of the B2650 and B3350 though. He recommended the L2501 to me so I am no help there...

Is diesel pickup truck synthetic oil proper for our tractors?

No where did I say Amsoil wasn't a product that didn't function as advertised. It was suggested above that I just agree with your false bogus claims and move on and I tried to do so, but it's hard when you are twisting my words so I apologize. You said your engine can run cooler and achieve...

    Land Pride Rotary Cutter Thoughts?

The tractor in the linked video was a L3301 with a FEL grapple, but I am guessing you are talking about the guy in Louisiana. It's a very good video and I am glad he made it, but I wish the guy went a bit slower. You can hear the tractor struggling many times and it could give someone the...

Is diesel pickup truck synthetic oil proper for our tractors?

I can appreciate the use of a quality oil, but your observations don't make sense so yes, let's try this again. A liquid cooled engine will not run cooler simply because of an oil. You say your tractor stayed cooler longer as the radiator collected grass? I'm guessing it wasn't as dusty that...

Is diesel pickup truck synthetic oil proper for our tractors?

I've been using 5w40 for years.. even in the stuff requiring 10w30.

Is diesel pickup truck synthetic oil proper for our tractors?

Fuel consumption goes up as well as operating temperature because of an oil? This doesn't make sense and is likely a placebo effect.

4WD and HST necessary for mowing?

I'd look into a FEL just for brush protection, but I treat my stuff like luxury cars too. There's a YouTube video of a guy doing brush work with a L2501 in Louisiana. That bucket is pushing down some serious stuff that would otherwise be dragging along the paint. Gear drive would be ideal...

    John Deere Pricing

I felt guilty seeing what that B sold for while I'm wanting an L. Lol

    BX1870 Engine oil filter question

Yeah I think I'd be skeptical too. Very interesting. As far as an upgrade, I don't think your tractor would care one way or the other filter wise.

What can my tractor handle as finish mowers go??

I'm looking at the L2501 as well. The dealer told me it would do fine with the 72" finisher and that the only way it would struggle would be if the grass wasn't mowed often.. as in every month or so. I believe Land Pride's literature states 15 horse is needed for the 72". Granted, that could be...

    BX1870 Engine oil filter question

The local dealer has given me small and large filters interchangeably throughout the years for a G1800 diesel. Same threads, gasket diameter, and bypass PSI. No issues whatsoever using the larger filter.. That said, the dealer could have given him the larger filter because they had it on hand...

    New L2501 next week

Good looking tractor. I am considering one of these as well. Hopefully you can put her to the test and report back.

Any experience with the L2501? (hydro)

TL;DR: Anyone have any experience with one? Snow removal (with a rear blade) and mowing.. preferably a Land Pride 72" finisher. This would also have a front end loader. Additional reading: If everything goes as planned, I will be closing on a 5 acre farmhouse next month. Decent yard and long...

    15W-30, Diesel oil...

I bought a couple gallons of the stuff at Oreilly last fall for about $6 a gallon and am now using it in my gas truck. That said, I believe they no longer carry it so it may be hard to find. They developed the stuff to be shear stable for vehicles that see a lot of idling, on and off's etc...

G2000 dies when mower is engaged.

I have a circuit with a switch. With both combined, they do not work. After removing the switch, the circuit works. Are you really telling me my issue is with the circuit and not the switch? Also, nowhere in my thread did I say the tractor was "fixed." Things needed bypassed for trouble...

G2000 dies when mower is engaged.

The wiring for the seat switch was damaged at the seat's side of the wiring. I just unplugged the seat (it's a 2 prong trailer plug), cut the wire and spliced what wiring was left together. The actual harness on the tractor seems fine. A 2 prong trailer plug should fix the seat's wiring no...

G2000 dies when mower is engaged.

The seat safety sensor has already been bypassed. The PTO switch is bypassed now too and she runs fine. If it was something with the wiring, we would still be seeing the same issues even with both switches out of the equation.

G2000 dies when mower is engaged.

It turned out to be what I am assuming is the PTO safety switch that the PTO/ mower lever engages and disengages as it's turned on and off.
