The obvious one would be one would hear them tapping if loose. If they are tight the engine would run uneven which is harder to diagnose as it could be caused by other causes. In the absence of any symptoms I check the clearance as part of bi anual service which for my b7100 is around 100 hours...

I only did the tractor and I set set it to round and about specs . Adding 0.3mm raises the pressure by 110 to 140 psi so you need 0.5 mm or there abouts. The easy way is to measure original thickness, then find a washer of the correct thickness or as I did, one slightly thicker and grind it...

The extra info you posted should not make any difference to your test, it has reduced the possibility of a leak between cylinders with identical readings but not completely eliminated it. There is so little work involved in taking injectors in and out I would whack them back in and see if it...

I don;t know what the pressure is on yours,another member may chip in with that info. I have a different model to you and my fel spool valve has its own relief valve so check if yours has one.

Are you assuming the pressure is low because it won't lift what you want it to or have you hooked an hydraulic gauge into a port and its reading below specs? If the former,you need to perform the latter or you may bust something> Dave

Speed of up and down remains the same,just the lift power is altered by adding shims.

If you did not repeat the test with a spoonful of oil in each cylinder then try that and post back the results. Do you have access to a leak down tester,it will give a clearer idea of what is wrong. N
