    Trailer deck life

Have a 1997 utility trailer that has the original CCA treated yellow pine deck. Coat it every year with used motor oil. Boards are worn with cracks, but no rot. I disagree with comment made about salt deteriorating wood. Certainly the metal fastenings can corrode, which in turn will damage...

    Vise Caddy Source?

I have zero experience with this type of machining, but perhaps a repurposed hoyer lift used in med profession. Easily lifts 300lbs, and relatively small footprint. Move all type of stuff around the shop easily.

    Scan tool shopping

Well, I'm off with some good input here. I won't completely nix a dongle unit, but not real keen on them based on other experiences with them (unrelated to topic at hand). Apps that are buggy or not compatible with tablet, ads that pop up, upates that fix some issues but come with new ones.

    Scan tool shopping

Looking for recommendations on a scan tool for vehicles. Something for home DIY use, compatible from late 90's GM to 8-12 year old Nissan and Toyota models. Want to be able read and clear codes, and see parameters of various systems. Prefer a dedicated tool, not a wifi dongle for your phone.

    More goodies ...

I have that exact stump bucket....its about indestructible when used on my L3301. Paid for itself first time I used it. One trick i haved learned is to let the weight of the tractor do the heavy work. Also works great for making & cleaning up shallow ditches for water run off.

Is there a snow ploy for my G5200?

That was a fair price. Did you get the front bracket as well? If not you can make one from 4x4 angle. The vertical piece on the front portion of that rail pushes against this bracket. It basically transfers the force of tractor to the blade.

Is there a snow ploy for my G5200?

Steve, yes they exist. I have one. Besides snow, it moves loose dirt very well too. But i have never seen one like that shown above for a G5200. What model blade is that?

Why not just swap the meter itself?

    REGEN counter

My brother and were discussing our Kubotas (I have a 3301) and it got me thinking....is there a way to learn the number of REGEN cycles your tractor has performed? I have had an error code show on the display before, and was able to clear it. Wondering if it is able to show this info as well...

    Replacement seat.

As Johnny Cash sang......"we drilled it out so that it would fit, and a little help from an adapter kit...." :D How about welding a tab onto each side of tractor mount/hinge and then drill it to hit the wider set of holes on the seat?

WTB take off Grand L 60 cab. l3560-l6060

An ambitious endeavor for sure. Would think some salvage ones be available that took a swim with all the hurricanes recently.

    Another Tractor Project

Back-up generator! That engine should be able to produce 6-8k.

    Daily Chuckle

Gotta be related to Red Green...a cousin maybe. Me personally...would use clear caulk....white would obstruct your vision. Also, a wad-cutter produces a cleaner hole without jagged edges.

    Another Tractor Project

There is outfit in Dixon, IL sells used parts. Sheaffers. Have seen add on CL now and then of fellow selling used import parts. IIRC, in the Mid-MO or KC area. Any chance your type was sold in US under a Massey label or something else? Edit: I think Ford did market your brand, but could have...

    G6200HST starting problems (electrical)

No need to remove dash. Remove battery to access switch. A channel locks will work on the ring, but a spanner wrench is ideal. Alternatively screwdriver or punch with a few light taps of a hammer will do. My switch has a dead spot on the solenoid contact. Its a sealed unit, so no repairing it...

G6200 rear PTO operation and G4000 tiller

A G6200 equipped with both 3pt & PTO is a rare duck for sure. Thinking the hydraulic deck lift was standard for the 6200. I could be wrong on this, but some how I'm thinking the PTO is run off hydraulics. The few photos I have seen it appears the PTO was a self contained affair that bolted to...

    G5200 Sims Cab Modification

Was just about to ask how you open the hood...tilting window is ingenious! Had been toying with idea of moving my G5200 down the road. But seeing yours all spruced up is making me think othewise.
