    Water in fuel alarm??

Just looked on Messicks website parts diagram and couldn’t find anything for the water in fuel sensor. There should be someone here with an LX3310 that can chime in. Just give it time for them to respond

    Water in fuel alarm??

Looking in the brochure the sensor should be on the filter housing.

Looking to buy a new L3902HST or the 3902DT….opinions?

I will add about the finesse part that I haven’t seen mentioned. The clutch on a M series is an hydraulic shuttle versus a L or MX gear drive with a manual clutch. I can finesse(slip) the clutch on my MX if needed to attach implements for example. My uncle has a M6060 that I’ve used some, the...

    Ballast Box needed?

I’d go for filled rear tires. Depending on size and type of tire on your MX it will add 470lbs-585lbs PER TIRE. That information is straight from the manual. A carryall is a great idea also if you have the need for one without an implement, such as a mower and box blade.

High quality 12V fan for ROPS?

Speed controller would be interesting. I wouldn’t want any more speed than what the 10” puts out. I positioned mine a few inches forward of center where my head would be, through trial and error I’ve moved it several times. It’s forward enough to blow on my arms, face, and head at the same time...

High quality 12V fan for ROPS?

I have 10” electric radiator fans on both of my tractors. Also put one on my dads Polaris ranger. They were about $15-$20. The one on the L has been on since 2014, almost 500 hours with the fan being ran 80% of that time. Mine are mounted under the canopy’s. If you do that they just have to be...

L3901 PTO clanking/rattle noise under seat.

My L3800 makes a similar noise at idle with the PTO engaged. Not quite as loud as as what’s in the video. Raise the RPM’s just above idle and it goes away. Most noticeable with a auger, I’ve always ran an auger at or just above idle. Mine has done it since new, dealer said it’s normal.

Has anyone filled their tires with fluid and regretted it?

I’m in the south so no freezing concerns. I’ve always have loaded rear tires with water. The concerns of getting a flat or putting on new tires should outweigh the cons. Everyone has different operating conditions but how many flats are y'all getting? Or how often are you buying new rear...

    3 point log splitter

Depends on your log splitter. The model I have has a control valve on it. I originally wanted rear remotes on my L3800 to run the splitter, talked with my dealer about it when I was getting a 3rd function installed. They routed me a set of hose from I believe the power beyond to the rear of the...

Looking to buy a new L3902HST or the 3902DT….opinions?

I have a L3800HST. For my uses I picked HST, also the L3800DT had 8 forward and 4 reverse gears. Reverse was low range only. The newer L3901 has 8 forward and 8 reverse gears. In this tractor size(chassis and HP) HST makes more sense, with ease of use for beginners and common use of tractors...

L3400 - Aftermarket oil pressure & coolant temp. Gauges

Biggest issue I have found is waterproofing with gauges. Most gauge topics can be searched on vehicle forums. I would like to add one to my MX5100 but haven’t found a good place to keep it dry. I did install a Glowshift brand digital 2 in 1 temperature and pressure gauge on my Zero turn...

    L3901 Tire swap

Just had a full set with 10 hours use pop up for sale on Craigslist near Mobile for $800. I could deliver them to Natchez for a delivery fee if your not able to get them.

    Trailer Recommendation

Without getting into too much detail I will ad check with a local trailer builder. There are plenty of places local to me(Mobile Al) that sell trailers(brands known all over the country) but also a local trailer manufacturer that sells direct. Better cost because there is no middle man. Price...

    L3901 Tire swap

There was a full set of R1’s with rims off a new L2501 listed for $1000 on Craigslist around the Mobile Al area a few weeks ago. They didn’t last long. Or look around the local farming groups on Facebook.

Kubota mx5100 and bush hog 406

The manual for the MX5100 used to be available online as a PDF but not anymore. The Australian manual for the MX5200 is available I looked yesterday, the limit for the rotary cutter is 450kg or 992lbs. They limit a disc harrow to 400kg or 881lbs, I’m over that limit by 1000lbs but it was too...

Kubota mx5100 and bush hog 406

I have a MX5100 and use a Kodiak 6’ bushhog that weighs 1200lbs. Also have a Atlas disc that weighs 1850lbs. I don’t have a ton of hours on it but it does fine. I have loaded R1’s with a FEL for reference. Those weights are listed from the manuals I haven’t double checked myself.

Z421 ran out of gas. I assume air in lines

It’s perfectly fine in a gas engine IN MODERATION. Wouldn’t use it on a diesel with a grid heater or glow plugs. Although the equipment that I run that has Caterpillar C32 diesel engines have “ether injection” for cold weather starting. Which is a permanently mounted can of starting fluid...

Z421 ran out of gas. I assume air in lines

How will using a small amount of starting fluid on a gas engine “cost you more than you wish”. I didn’t say flood the intake with starting fluid. I guess you could always pour gas in the intake but you might say “that will cost you more than you wish”. The fix would be never let it run out of gas…
