L2501 acts like it's starving for fuel

My L2501 also seemed to "cut out" when opening the throttle above 1800 RPM for longer periods. Since most of the time I vary the throttle position and run below that, it usually only happened in transport mode, or higher RPM PTO work... I tried loosening the fuel cap and that seems to fix it...

    Dirt leveling question..

And remember that things will take a while to settle in, so I would give it a few months before smoothing out with any "Finish" gravel....

    L2501 Tach Quit

Thats about where mine broke, Chevy. It was easy enough to just order the cable and put it in myself, although your dealer should warranty it for you.. I also removed a cable tie that lets the cable housing bow out a little more naturally, and hopefully lets it flex easier.

4WD and HST necessary for mowing?

Flat open pastures....should not be a problem with the geared Kuby. If many bushes, trees or obstacles to work around, it sure is nice to back around with the HST and live PTO. I'm not sure the Geared 3901 has live PTO or not? I do like the "cruise" lever on my HST for some of the straight...

    One Year Anniversary....And.....

Since your rig is only a year old and assuming you havent got hung up going across a gully, you should be able to check what WGATOR has mentioned. Air pressure,, ETC. I only had a little height difference on my 2501, and remedied by parking on a flat concrete slab, then was able to unjam...

    Number of Tires.....

Okay I forgot the 5 spares that hold air.... probably about 35 including the bicycle. But im glad I switched to a rubber sponge tire for the wheelbarrow, and the hard plastic lawnmower and pressure washer tires, and the rear flapwheel on the brushhog...and the dollies, and,,,too bad the...

    L2501 ROP height ?

Yep, I got lucky as it just clears the entrance beam on the carport. Easy to spin the two bolts out after pulling the hairpins, and that gets you about 20 inches of clearance,,, enough to get pulled in further under my ceiling racks:)

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Maxed out the front and rear lift capacity on the L2501/LA525 on my little tractor. New construction next door had some concrete chunks left over and I asked it they needed them hauled off (I needed some rip/rap for a dry gulch on the lot boundary). I got all but the biggest piece (in took...

How do I remind myself to take it out of 4WD?

Thanks Guys - I really like the aerial antenna idea - maybe I can find one with a magnetic base at a garage sale...I'll have to look for an orange sock :) :)

How do I remind myself to take it out of 4WD?

It seems my short term memory can fail me when I change the set up on the tractor. I just remembered that I left the L2501 in 4WD after moving some dirt and parked it in the carport. I went out and shoved the lever back down, so it should be okay when I fire up again. Has anyone come up...

    New L2501

Re: New L2501 - Height with ROPS down I wonder if the ride and traction would be better if I let them get down to 25 psi or so. Most of the work is with the 5 ft brush hog on back and they spin out easy if the skids drag a little on high spots.... When the dealer delivered it it had 40...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Had a little rain last night, so the berms were soft enough to roll some gravel back up on the road with the landscape rake. Then changed out to the brush hog and did a quick pass along the weedy shoulders, and some of the back lot. Its still real dry here, so the weeds wont be much of a...

    New L2501

Re: New L2501 - Height with ROPS down Just what the manual calls for for my 15 x 19.5 R4 tires. My old Super C used to run with 12 psi in the rears:D

    New L2501

Re: New L2501 - Height with ROPS down Hey TwoKowner- I measured my L2501 with the ROPS down just now and get about 73 1/2" with 30 psi in the rear tires - when I took delivery It just slipped under the carport beam with the ROPS up at I think around 92"...

    Hydraulic issues

Not sure if it relates to your problem Mike, but I had a quick disconnect fitting on a fuel line on an 07 Harley that had enough wear in the detents/fitting that it would not flow fuel sometimes. Left me, (or I left it) 30 miles from home until I trailered it home. I later found that If I...

Hooking up implements L2501 new owner

Also really liking the 2501 especially the HST but took a little the first time hooking up to the brush hog. The turnbuckles needed a little fine tuning to get them where the arms were close to tight so the hog wouldnt wander. I found that the oil can and a bar to lever the deck around were...
