    Are you going to.....

I've got my badge on my right arm from the smallpox vaccine that eradicated that threat... I'll be lined up for this one when it's our turn.

    Compression ratio on old tractors

While condensate and distillate have been used interchangeably, condensate was the common term in the SW oilpatch and found in the gas pipeline traps. It formed as the rich natural gas being produced from deep underground cooled and condensed during its trip to the market taps. Some...

    Cruise Control on L2501

I like the cruise control that was installed by dealer at purchase on my L2501HST. Here in the plains it gives me a chance to set a ground speed with the side lever, and regulate hand throttle as needed to RPM/power. However just like the motorcycle friction locks on the grips you need to...

    Hour / RPM not working

My inside cable snapped just at the connector where it comes out of the right angle drive on the front of the engine in front of the injector pump. I think that when I got the new cable I just slid out the cable and slid the new one back up to the display panel. I also removed one of the...

    Hatch Chile Time

We like the green chile sauce on our breakfasts but as we grow older try to limit it to the milder Pueblo green chiles.... and we're certainly not into the competitive eating contests like yesterdays record set for open face burgers topped with Pueblo Green Chile - Note: Joey Chestnut was...

    Top Link Questions

Sure - Like Creature Meadow, I leave the top links with the implement so that they're already adjusted to how I like to run each implement.... saves time and frustration. Just a couple of squirts from the oil can on the swivel balls and pins, and we're ready to roll.

    bush hog sharpening

Like D2Cat says - First try not to mow rocks. Also it depends whether you are going to be working over woody brush, or just grass and weeds. My King Kutter has the nuts tack welded, so I can't remove the blades without grinding them off, so I have a block and tackle crane to raise the...

    hp ? ... torque ... hmm

Thanks Beex for your post especially including the reference to Power and physics equations. I copied to a file in my Kubota folder. My cents on why I like the broader flat torque of the L2501 with the D1703 triple engine is just that - it will handle varying load quite easily without a lot...

    L2501 seat adjustment?

Likewise I like the five foot King Kutter behind my 2501HST as it covers the tire track width. Only a few times that I eased back the ground speed with the treadle and bumped the throttle up... If I mowed a lot of heavy grass, I might feel different but this year looks like a drought year...

    I gota vent

Skeets I feel for you, sounds like you need some soothing tractor seat time. I thankfully haven't dealt with the PA State Stores since college, but my patience with some of the regs and just peoples common sense is less as I get older. Here in CO we kept the the liquor stores and MJ shops...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

But it only defaults to URL.... when I delete it doesnt allow or prompt to Browse... maybe its my Firefox browser? when I select the Image Icon, only the URL choice is there with OK or Cancel.... not choice to Browse my computer pics...??? I can post pics on my motorcycle forum site....hmmm

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Used my Lightweight stump bucket to transplant some Saltbush out of bad spots to an easier mowed alignment. As dry as it is here I was glad to get a day where the soil moisture kept the rootball intact, and still be able to dig them out. Dont know why it asks for a URL when I try to Insert...

    White ain't always Snow

A couple of inches and -4F (-20C) here this morning - after a high of 78 (+25C) on Sunday. But the sun is out so the roads will clear. Prairie dogs will be out later? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    L2501 HST stalls in high

I've had the 2501 HST a couple of years now, but only have 87 hours on it mostly light work with the landscape rake. A couple times a year it gets worked with the 5 ft king Kutter brush hog in high brush and Russian thistles. The first month or so I stalled it several times trying to doze...

Had a weldment made for the bucket

I wanted to use my Titan 3 pt forks to lift and move some light brush to burn piles so I had a post fabbed and welded to pin the top of the hitch to the bucket. I think It'll come in handy for light work.

Being new doesn't make it perfect.

Copying from someone on this forum " You Can have it Right, OR you can have it Now - But unlikely to have it RIGHT NOW!" Especially true as I get older..
