Too small for what, he hasn't noted his requirements?

    Backhoe attachment.

He clearly stated SMALL backhoe, and I also noted flow rates required for a Bradco hoe of 9~13 GPM which is noted on various websites to suit an L285. I clearly noted I had no idea on what he was fitting as he hadn't supplied that information. Comparing a 35 year old L285 to an L35 is pushing...

    Backhoe attachment.

Which one? My thoughts, take them as you wish! IIRC my dedicated B21 TLB, and B26's produce about ~7GPM, I also believe other small backhoes use around the same flow. What you are getting, I don't know? If you buy a hoe that runs at approx 7GPM and you buy a 21GPM pump, you now have ~3...

    Seal replacement

Front of engine is where the injection pump is, rear is where the starter engages. Front and rear relate to the engine, not it's location in a particular piece of equipment. If your machine has a reverse mounted engine, and the starter is at the front of the tractor, the seal at the front of...

Perhaps mentioning which seal on the engine you are talking about would help in getting an accurate response, there are a few.

L245DT w/1200 loader control valve question

GR8! Your feedback rod from the 3pt hitch needs adjusting so that it doesn't go into relief. It's possible that you have a twisted shaft which could cause or exacerbate the feedback issue or someone intentally fitted it that way due to an adjustable lift rod being seized.

    Battery life

Yeah I feel your pain! If you need to rely on a battery, 3 years and turn them over. If it's in a nonessential, 5 years is good, 8 is a bonus, 10, buy a lottery ticket!

    L2501 - Transmission/Hydraulic Oil

Park your tractor on an angle one way then the other and view the sight glass in each position, you should see the difference between no oil and full oil. Hydraulic oil is not a consumable, you should not have to periodically top it up. Once you have run it a few times you should be able to...

L245DT w/1200 loader control valve question

Couple of checks for a start Ensure 3pt is down and thoroughly check the hoses to the valve, follow them from the pump or hydraulic block and back to block and tank/transmission to ensure they are hooked up correctly to the FEL valve.

    Radiator problem

Interesting, I put my foot down flat out to pull into fast traffic in my 250ci ford wagon and saw a bit of "smoke" behind me in the rear view mirror. I drove up the road and turned off and idled around a trailer lot and the engine cut out/stalled. When I cranked, it was slow but started, I...

    B21 stuck low range

2 bolts on the shift lever may have loosened slightly and now won't allow the lever to disengage low and select high, or the linkage rods have loosened with same result. The lever needs to disengage at neutral position from one to the other, they need to be lined up to slide across in the...

Hood Release for L4330. Hydraulic Fluid Level

While this doesn't say it's for your model/market, you may get a lot out of it as your model is in this series and it's possible Kubota accidentally omitted a model number or didn't release that model in the market that this manual was made for...
