Your dynamo is rated at about 10 amps, at rated engine speed, as it's a dynamo (permanent magnet generator), not an alternator, it's output is related directly to speed, so when idling, a couple of amps is all you'll get, therefore when you have your lights on at idle, it will drop into negative...

I don't know what type is fitted, generally you push the whole sensor with your thumb on the end as if you are pushing towards the air cleaner, or there is a little button on the side to push. Take a pic of yours.

Recheck hose connections, you state you swapped PB and return hoses to get it working before installing PB adapter. Ensure delivery from block to inlet on loader, PB from loader valve back to block. Check per page 302 of the pdf here...
