Hydraulic angling of a snow blade worth the hassle?

The Quick Attach gear is made for skid steers mostly, and they are manufactured in Minnesota. The blade I have has 4 springs, and is in general heavily built (but not too heavy for my tractor), I'll never wear it out. They are kind of "cute" in that they don't list their prices, you have to...

Test the stability of your tractor with this!

I guess my initial disclaimer still wasn't enough to defer any criticism, so those calling BS, don't make one! In fact, don't even put a fork attachment on at all, as they can be overloaded! I'm sure I mentioned here I run a small 30 ton crane for a living, so I think I have a decent handle on...

Test the stability of your tractor with this!

I saw this the other day while at a shop that does granite counter tops. I think I'll weld up something similar, just because you can't have to many ways to pick things up and and move them around. OBVIOUSLY this will reduce the capacity, and present stability problems if one got too crazy with it.

Hydraulic angling of a snow blade worth the hassle?

I couldn't find what I think I needed, the particular combo of stroke and retracted length and I was still unsure of what size rod,, in my Surplus Center catalog, and rather then mess around I just orderd the complete kit from Quick Attachments. i will no doubt pay more then scrounging around...

Hydraulic angling of a snow blade worth the hassle?

Quick Attachments got back to me with a quote on the needed items (less couplers, hose, and valve) to convert over to a hydraulic angle setup on my plow: $431.00 delivered. About 100 for the required hose, and $297.00 for something called "3x8 SPEEBALLS", which I assume is the cylinder. Less...

How do you deal with snow?

Anything coming from Wyoming concerning wind and cold weather protection, I'll pay attention to! For those that don't know what I mean, consider yourself lucky. I use my beard for keeping my face warm. It's amazing how much colder you get when clean shaven. I'm in the banana belt over here...

How do you deal with snow?

I didn't want a cab on my new 3301, for various reasons.Initial cost, possible (make that probable) future damage, and they make the tractor much taller, to tall for my tastes, and my tractor shed door and other doors. Keep in mind I have yet to fold up my ROPS, it's been doubled up (but still...

Hydraulic angling of a snow blade worth the hassle?

I think you hit the nail on the head there! I just got done clearing another 8 to 12" plus deeper drifts, and this time, only my second time out with the new set up, I gave it a little thought first, starting with how I exited the tractor shed. About 3/4's of the way to being finished, I...

Hydraulic angling of a snow blade worth the hassle?

I think I know the answer....but was to cheap at the time to opt for this feature on my QUICKATTACH 6' snowblade/light material blade. A long time mover of snow with a Kubota, here at over 5,000' in Idaho, my old 2105 was a fair bit smaller then the new L3301, but it did a great job over the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

We got our first real dump of snow, 10" so far, with the usual deeper drifts, so I got to use my new 6' snow blade from QUICKATTACH on the L3301 (also new, last spring anyway). Compared to my old smaller Kubota the new bigger tractor really kicks butt, nothing like more weight and power!

    block heater

It took about 20 minutes to install my block heater, half of that was draining out the coolant first, into a clean container, so I could dump it back in when finished. I always route the extension cord across the seat, so I can't forget to unplug it! Like my last tractor, I'll only use it when...

    Kubota preferred as aircraft tugs

My day job is operating a crane service. I got called out once to load a medical helicopter onto a flatbed trailer for transport to a facility several states away for a major inspection and/or tear down. I remember they had a special shackle that was the designated lifting point, and unlike a...

    Kubota preferred as aircraft tugs

The second time I've seen a Kubota used as an aircraft tug, in fact the only brand tractor I've seen as a tug is the K brand, cool. But, the medical services pilot made me cringe when he started the tractor at what sounded like 3/4 throttle, and then immediately, like a second later started...

Mine is on the way for my L3301. $80.00 with the needed adapter including shipping. Let us know what your dealer charges?

    block heater

Don't have to pre heat. Got it, modern diesel engines are amazing. For myself, once below mid 20's or so, I'd no more not plug in then I'd leave my dog out all night. I didn't even know it was up for discussion that plugging in when cold makes life easier, or not, for the engine. My ears tell...

    Snow blade learning curve

I built a plow about 35 years ago for my pickup, being too poor at the time to go store bought. I used a 12 volt winch to raise and lower it, with a rudimentary manual angle change. I ran into the exact same issue, when angling it, and all these years I thought it was my poor design, glad to...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Nothing much, just moved my 12' tandem axle dump trailer down from in front of the shop back into a lower out building. Using my home made hitch adapter on the end of my fork sure makes ultra precise positioning super easy. As a result it takes up less room in the building, I LOVE my forks...

    Snow pusher blade

I ordered it a few days ago, should be here soon. For years on my smaller tractor I have used a Protec snow pusher, the type you pick up with your FEL bucket, using it's built in pick points. But with my recent purchase of my bigger L3301, the 5' wide Protec is being replaced. When I...

    8" backhoe bucket

Thanks for the fix, and I have turned down my image size on my digital camera, though I did post on some other forums in the usual fashion without the image blowing up like it did here, one of those computer things I am clueless about.

    8" backhoe bucket

Yeah I noticed that the pictures got real large, not sure why. But move them around and the entire picture can be seen a little at a time, real close up too! My old tractor was a '96 B2105, this bucket is about 8 years old, "kept garaged." 1" pins (not included, I used the same pins that...
