What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Working sideways on the 11% grade most of my property lies on, I rigged and pulled out a bunch of dead fall. I've been using a 60 VDC electric chain saw for much of the work, and man is that thing handy! It never floods, and I can easily work until lunchtime on it's battery capacity. Especially...

    Honda EU2000I generator

I'll join in on the octane thing: you are throwing your money away using premium! This is a pet peeve of mine....I always use "regular" in my various vehicles, which all run great with zero issues, just like you having good luck while burning premium. The difference is, about 50 cents or more...

Anyone have a Low Profile Dump trailer?

Looking at this picture of my U25 on the trailer it's being delivered on, it seems to eyeball less then 12' the way they have the boom positioned, we'll see for sure in a day.

Anyone have a Low Profile Dump trailer?

The U25 is getting delivered in a day, and I'm bringing it home with the 12' trailer, one way or the other! I'm not crystal clear on how you configure the boom when hauling. Right now I'm just planning on running it as far forward as I can, then laying the boom down to the rear as far as I can...

Anyone have a Low Profile Dump trailer?

I just bought a U 25s, yesterday, (and I'm glad to see another who feels the absolute need for BOTH a tractor and a mini-ex, ha ha) it's getting delivered Saturday. I will be using the same 10K 7x12 dump bed trailer I bought to haul my L3301 around. Depending on the rear attachment I just close...

Flail implement for brush and such?

That was part of my justification, not so much for making a living doing so,(!) but to maintain (already) good neighbor relations, and get free beer. Mostly the 5% discount though. the flail mower will be so much more handy for my particular mowing situation, putting vague plans I had to buy a...

WoodMaxx WM-8H, think I need one.....

I decided to take on the project, 28 degree slopes and all. I like a challenge, and now I have one?! Chipper ordered, so now I HAVE to do it. Now to round up a mini excavator for phase one, getting it roughed in enough to be able to drive the tractor on it. I'm going to start chain sawing as I...

Flail implement for brush and such?

I pulled the trigger today on a WoodMaxx 68" mower, with the hydraulic side shift, up to 39". That will be handy, I had earlier ordered a 78" non hydro, but just changed my order. many of my trees I'll be mowing around are about 80" apart. I plan on running the side shift using the hose and...

Flail implement for brush and such?

I don't have a lawn, as in surburban style bermuda grass, but I do keep the native grasses knocked down around the house for a 50' radius for fire prevention purposes. Plus I need to mow my native grass 400' runway. I have used a 5' brush hog/rotary mower for this, but even with my small older...

WoodMaxx WM-8H, think I need one.....

I walked a bit of the area today, still a lot of snow up here..... and I got a wake up call. Before I could get the tractor in there, I will need to do some fairly major earth moving. I of course know the area already, but never looked at it before with an eye to getting the tractor in there. i...

WoodMaxx WM-8H, think I need one.....

Thanks for that Michael. Yeah, the ones I've seen are very noisy, and yes I've seen the movie Fargo! I already have hear muffs though, good ones too. One thing I'm not crystal clear on: does that discharge chute allow you to aim the chips coming out? Like into a 55 gallon drum with the top cut...

WoodMaxx WM-8H, think I need one.....

I'd also be interested in any opinions on how my L3301 would handle the 990 lb weight. I have fluid filled rear tires, and a FEL.

WoodMaxx WM-8H, think I need one.....

I first perused the several pages here on the subject, and the WoodMaxx keeps popping up as the best. Not the cheapest, but it seems like the type of implement that paying more up front for will result in greater satisfaction long term. I have a newer L3301, 60 hours on it now is all. My...

Light duty load picker, and storing implements

Ha! Those are 29" Airstreaks, to go bigger I'd have to go to 31" regular ABW's, meant for much heavier gross weight planes, so useless extra weight. I could have pulled the plane out but had 2 trailers in the way, plus it was super windy. I'm gradually, with this new tractor with the ROPS...

Light duty load picker, and storing implements

I made this non optimized picker (using material I already had laying around, total cost, zero) in about 1.5 hrs. It plugs into the receiver socket on my forks attachment, and goes on and off in less then 30 seconds. I had been using the tip of one of my forks (with a hole burned in the end...

It's about to go down (the pond liner, that is)

Wow, that is one ambitous project! Handling that liner reminds me of an old saying on the construction site, when handling something especially awkward, "like wrestling a fat woman." The island is a nice touch.

    fueling up

I have a 90 degree fitting for just that reason. using the FEL to raise any fuel jug (especially one with a non optimum spout) and the jiggler is just about idiot proof and so easy. I guess the only thing would be putting 5 gallons in the tractor when you only had room for 4! But other then that...

    fueling up

For the first time I have one of those jiggle syphon starters, the ones with a ball and a spring in the end. I always thought real men know how to start a syphon, those gadgets were for losers.....but I now have to say I like it. I tied my 5 gallon jerry jug to the FEL arm, raised it higher...

    fueling up

That reminds me, I am about empty in the L3301. I have a giant funnel and just dump the diesel in, though I find the location of the filler a bit awkward as compared to my previous rear tank on my old 2105. I also find the 3301 uses quite a bit more fuel..... still not much at all of course...

Trailering with a small Dump trailer

Your trailer looks fine to me for that little tractor. Invest in some grade 70 transport chain (any farm supply store will have it), some chain binders and the appropiate grab hook and shackles and you're good to go. That will keep you legal, and you will then have that same chain and hardware...
