What to get a grapple. What type?

I like the Precision Mfg 333D72 clamshell grapple. Dual lid, weighs about 600 lbs, opens 50".

Using the W.R. Long 3rd function valve to run rear remotes

Haven't done it personally but don't see any compelling reason why you couldn't or shouldn't.

    Insurance Recommendations

My experience with State Farm was that I could take out an "all perils" policy on the tractor that would cover everything except operator error. When the agent ran the numbers SF came back and said the tractor would be considered "heavy equipment" and the premiums were HIGHER than KTAC. So in...

    Best cold weather bib overalls?

I prefer Berne Apparel insulated bibs and here's why: They have heavy zippers from the ankle to the waist, plus one from the waist to the chest on the front. The insulation goes all the way up the back to just below the shoulder and all the way up the chest. They are reasonably priced. They...

    Proper Grapple usage

A friend of mine has a Woods back blade with the hydraulic angle adjustment. It has a cartridge style relief valve (Sun Hydraulics, et al) in a manifold mounted on the frame of the blade. If you strike a solid object with the end of the blade it allows fluid to pass from one port of the...

    Grease

As shown on your owners manual, "multipurpose grease" NLGI 1 or 2 means the window is wide open. I use the 3% moly grease, pick your brand, for everything with no issues.

    Kubota "Shockless Ride" accumulator

Anybody have one of these on their loader? Thinking about getting one on my tractor when I order it. Pros-Cons...is it worth the $$$ or not so much? Thanks in advance.

    PTO Soft Start

An overrunning clutch only prevents the implement from back driving the tractor when you disengage it. They don't feather the power at startup.

    Running Long Distances

    I'd trailer it too.

    What does this mean?

Thanks for the replies...seems like with the right LCD panel Kubota could have easily done something that would have been a little easier to understand. Maybe the PTO icon with the rotational arrow and the abbreviation rpm. Oh well, until I get a job in the engineering department at Kubota...

    What does this mean?

I was browsing through the M5660 manual that I printed off the internet and in the section on the PTO/engine hour readout operation there was an illustration that showed what the display would look like in the PTO mode and it was 540 n/m. What does n/m stand for? I can figure out r/m to be a...

    Land Pride RCR1260 Setup

I run my cutter with a few inches of lateral movement but I'm not nit picky about the cut quality...it's not a lawn so I don't really give a rip. You want a little slop in the setup for when you nudge a tree or fencepost, etc..

I put some long shoulder bolts on my pallet puller, found a spring that was the ideal size, then cut a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe that fit nicely over the spring. I put the shoulder bolts through the hooks on the spring so that it will hold the jaws closed around the tree.

I have a pallet puller that I use on trees from 1"-3" diameter and it works pretty good. Sometimes will rip the bark off but typically bites down after that. It's a good tool when you have a helper on the ground to hook it back up if it slips off. If I'm working alone, a chain with a choker...

m5660 three point hitch will not go up

Interesting stuff. I wasn't aware that the M5660 has both the position and draft control for the 3 PH. The specifications on Kubota's website shows position only. Is this an older tractor or is there simply a typo on the Kubota specifications?

    Never been more disappointed

A buddy of mine had a Curtis cab on his JD 1025r. Used it for a year and sold it for pennies on the dollar just to get rid of it. He had to add fuel from inside the cab because the cab was outboard of the fuel filler...nice if you spill a few teaspoons full. He felt that the cab made the...

    Quick hitch size

I have the Lee Agra Farm Hand QH...$680. It's bad@$$, Made in USA, fit & finish is outstanding and comes with 2 welded on grab hooks and 3 Reese hitch-style receivers welded on. You can put bale spears or a hitch extension w/ball in them. Talk about buy once, cry once...I'm still crying but...

    UV sun protection Kubota cab

If I had a cab tractor, I would take it to my neighborhood Auto Trim Design store and have them put privacy tint on all the windows. I had the windows tinted on my truck after I had it for about 5 years and wished I had done it at delivery.
