Drilling and Tapping my ROPS for LED Lights.."OH The Madness"

Rivnuts , insert a-thread, by different names, depending on manufacture. Oop for to mention to OP. Nice and tighty looking job. On the Kubota ROPS the factory holes except a 5/16 insert-a-thread/rivnutm I like how you plugged your unused hole. I like, thanks for sharing

    Tiller, Just couldn't pass up

Well, was able to mockup tiller today and set my lower link points. Plan on fitting to tractor tomorrow to measure what size series 4 PTO shaft with slip clutch, they usually break between 31.5 - 41" and then up for second grouping. The more time I work on this tiller I see things that need a...

    Tiller, Just couldn't pass up

great, a little more work then I believed at first. Can I ask, what level of oil in gear box. I see there's a dip stick, up to top of flat? Do you know where a person could find a user's/operator manual?

    Tiller, Just couldn't pass up

It is a beast, the BX could never reach it's dept. maybe in three passes. Right now, I only need to repair the skid loader tracks/trail coming out of woods and across my front lawn. Lost a very proud cedar, it was here before me moving in, in 1975.

    Tiller, Just couldn't pass up

Well I finally got the slip clutch flange off. Sometimes anti-seize (IMO) would of prevented for out door equipment storage. Grease works for a time if you periodically separate parts. It took a 20 inch cheater bar with a 8 inch puller assisted by an 8 lbs. it finally creeped off. Took all my...

    Tiller, Just couldn't pass up

Came across a Howard Ratavator (tiller) and I couldn't pass up. It's a HR 10 series and yes a little on the large size 60", no PTO shaft. (under 175 w/clutch) My research came up with 25HP min. hitting the scale at 627 lbs. Tine shaft rotates free. Looks like the chain cover been replaced. I'll...

    Pallet Forks for a BX

I also purchased the 3 PT hitch forks from Amazon but ended up building my carryall on it, it was cheaper then the carry all frames at the time. I also have 36" forks for the front and your right after forklift frame and forks it limits loader power for us, me more then you. Ended up shortening...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Completed 50 hr. service (52) on my BX , it went along fairly easy, besides the well-known engine oil filter tightest. I've worked on factory assembled engines that are shipped to the assembly plants and they've been over torqued also. Finally got it off with an end fitting tool, band types just...

Who's running a flail mower on a BX?

I went with the smaller heavy Betstco flail mower to assist in reclaiming some property in my tree line with a mixture of materials. I chose to go with the hammers for mulching and grass cutting. I wanted to stay within my rear tire footprint. My BX spools up very well, I have to mention I do...

    Front ballast question

Like others have mentioned I' m in agreement, but there will be times in the future you want to remove for maneuverability so you might want to keep your eyes open for used weights (a little clean up goes a long way) or new if you prefer when the time comes. The weight is closer in and there is...

New beginning, 3 PT rear Blade

I do like what I got in it's patina state, the Rust Eater just helps the bare metal hold up better. Just need to do a couple things, press straight one of the diagonal supports and replace attaching hardware.

New beginning, 3 PT rear Blade

Hi all, just wanted to share my new to me a Servis equipment rear grader blade, LS model with a 6' blade. While doing or trying to do a little research, after the fact of owning. It looks stout with 3/8 rolled mold board. Pobaly as seasoned as me. Shhh, I'm hoping for a little snow cover in the...

    BX2816 snowblower gearbox plug

Not familiar with unite or cast material, but I have a couple Idles. Have you tried applying some heat. I'm guessing that plug is on a vertical surface, if so take some clay, silly puddy and stick it to surface with a small thimble impression size cup and spray some Blaster to float around...

A Need to buy different flavor engine oil

Hi, maybe I didn't get this but in Bx manual it says CJ-4 oil is meant for engines with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and not to use on this tractor. I'm assuming my BX2380. On my Dodge truck I use Delo 400 LE 15w-40 and have a good supply of and was hoping to share. Knowing I don't have an...

    BX Add-A-Grapple

Leveraction; front grill guard! picking up larger trimmed branches with one 2" limb wedging itself through fix grill guard and movable hood guard, which forced (bent) outer guard over toward loader park stand release bolt. I didn't notice until wedge in and was able to back off. Removed guard...
