    Front king pins leaking

4WD model? Yes, I did mine. I used gear lube to replace the UDT to slow any leaks, which are very common. I got a WSM on cd from eBay. Seal is #060, you’ll also need #050. It’s pretty easy, just snap rings and bolts to disassemble. Keep careful track of how all the gears, bearings, spacers, and...

#210… Called a pillar cap. One on each side, should be easy to find.

L2250 Front Axle Problem, Please Help!

Keep an eye out for scams also. FB & Craigslist are loaded with them. When you see a tractor worth $40k listed for $12k…. Beware. Where I am in PA, that wouldn’t have done any good, unless you have a written warranty from a dealer. Our laws are 100% buyer beware in private transactions.

Absolutely agree. OP asked the question, and was given an answer. All is well in my book. P.S. All my filters are Kubota.

L2250 Front Axle Problem, Please Help!

There’s no doubt you got screwed and you really need to check the regulations in your area and talk to an attorney. When I bought mine there were leaks everywhere, everything was "repaired" with bailing wire, duct tape, and bread twist ties. That being said, I knew they were things I could fix...

    BX1500 radiator cap

It has two jobs, raising the boiling point of the coolant and protecting the system from over pressurization. I would be shocked if any our techs ever tested a cap for leakage… Or if a $7 Stant cap wouldn’t be able to pass that test with flying colors. My 3650 actually has a Lev-R-Vent cap and...

    BX1500 radiator cap

    The price……. I’d never pay $44 + for a reboxed cap I can get for $5.00 $7.00 (with inflation) https://www.messicks.com/part/56930-25870/cap-assy

L2250 Front Axle Problem, Please Help!

Agreed. If you don’t get anywhere with that, it may be more cost effective to look for a salvage axle (and missing parts). “Orange” doesn’t tell us much about your location. You can send a pm to 007kubotaguy to see if he has a salvage part.… click on the envelope in the upper right corner to...

Instead of going through the parts department, make sure to see a salesman for the wholegoods price …. if EPA regulations didn’t screw that up too.

Kubota l345 Engine removal info needed

Think doorstop style wedges jammed between the axle and frame (or engine depending on model) to keep it from pivoting. The rear axle holds the engine vertical. If you don’t “block it”, there may be a dangerous klunk when you split the tractor which can cause injuries.

    Thermostat

Sweet. This was after the engine repair on the 14. Both the 14 & 18 have new paint. And before the other two 18’s were added.

    Thermostat

I still have the 4514, three 4518’s, and a 4120. All run like new. (y)(y) My son buys up the 18’s for a song when the CDI boxes fail… I cut them apart and re-solder the circuit boards… JB Weld them back together and they fire right up!

    Thermostat

Thermostats last anywhere between 5 and 30+ years. How much risk are you willing to take for such an inexpensive item. I had a stuck one cost me a tear down on a Honda 4514 because the rocket-scientist engineers put the temp sensor in the radiator, instead of the head or block where it belongs...

Electrical damage caused by rodent 2004 Kubota B7610

That damage is very repairable. Take your time. Clean wire, soldered joints, marine heat shrink tubing. Quality work will make it good as new. Last time I cleaned out a rats nest, I twist-tied some sandwich bags with d-con and dropped them in there.

    Operators are killing me...

Butch, here’s the way it’s done. Since you have a press, it looks like a wheel balancer or brake lathe centering cone, along with lots of Murphy‘s lube will work.

    Land Pride RCR1860 Gearbox....Mystery SOLVED!

Agreed. Finish mower was lightly used, pretty clean lube. I believe my King Kutter was the original prototype, stored in a swamp. Not a square inch of paint on it, but it works great. Splines on the output shaft are so rotted they barely hold onto the hub. Fluid was so filthy I’m sure changing...

    Land Pride RCR1860 Gearbox....Mystery SOLVED!

Hmmmm. Geo called me an idiot when I did this with an electric traveling chain hoist…. Suction/discharge guns or extractors do not work in this (and other) situation(s). I should have taken a pic of the crap that came out.
