L185/L1801 oil pressure and coolant temp question

Managed to get 5 dials installed including an electric, and mechanical temperature sensor gauge. Still getting to 250 plus degrees Fahrenheit too often. Both dials get buried on the high side. Going to play with the coolant ratios, run more water and less coolant.

    L 185 with a cooling problem

He gave me 4 of the 5 gauges, installed them, built the gauge holders. That plus roughly 8 more upgrades. Will put it all in a new thread. He's a terrific guy.

    Busted radiator l3010

Assuming it's a similar design to my tractor (L1801) theres really not much to it. Drain the rad, remove top and bottom hoses, remove anything else connected to it. It's a coupe of nuts located at the bottom of each corner and out she comes.

    L 185 with a cooling problem

I can't take any credit for the gauges or the other 6 upgrades, I owe it all to my great neighbor. Here's a side picture of the new dash. Most of the gauges were sourced at Princess Auto. They are all generic parts. Do a search on Google and you will find everything you need. I haven't run...

B7300 won't start -- Newbie needs some help.

My suggestion of a safety switch was ill advised. Shouldn't crank of the swith is working proper. I would however still clean the battery cables and connections. Did you check to see if the decompression lever is pushed in? Judging by the crud in the bottom of your fuel bowl I think it...

Tranny oil strainer, hardest to sevice item on B6100

What a nuissance job! There's a few things on my tractor (L1801) which require the right amount of body contortion, dissassembly of unrelated parts, and the right amount of swearing. Hydraulic filter screen requires removal of loader brace arm(made that name up but seems reasonable) Throw out...

    L 185

I'm envious of you. I have an L1801 which is the grey version of the L175/L185. Sure with it had 4wd. Would make snow blowing 10x easier.

    B2620 question

Thanks very much for the reply. It's kind of a tough answer as I would need to know my current tilling speed and then of course yours. I'm at the point where I have to decide between the top B series or entry-level L-series. With the b series I'm alright to stay with my current attachments...

    B2620 question

Want to upgrade the tractor without having to buy all new implements. Who can attest to the tilling capabilities of the B2620 series? I use an L1801 and while it can runs a 4 foot tiller it's VERY slow. Till roughly 2 acres bi-weekly and it takes roughly 4 hours.

Thinking of a bigger tractor than L1801

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. How fast are you able to travel while tilling?
