    Draft control missing part m4500

I have a M4500 but it's located on our ranch. I will be there tomorrow and see what I can find. I don't recall seeing that on our M4500. What years is your tractor. Ours is an early model. IIRC it's a 1979 model.

2007 6040 seems to run out of fuel, what am I missing?

Your problem is not unusual for tractors that sit unused for long time periods. I would suspect bacterial contamination of the fuel from water condensing in a partially full tank. You mentioned cranking the engine with no fuel delivery and that is a sure sign of a plugged fuel delivery system...

    Making your own Hydraulic Hoses

Yeah and those screw on fittings are reusable if they re not damaged. Another possibility is to buy premade hoses from Surplus Center, etc . You pick the kind of fittings you need and the hose length and they can make them for you and ship them for less than a local hydraulic shop will charge...

L3400 turns over strong but will not start

Your tractor may have a two solenoid fuel shut off. Check to see if there are two wires going to the solenoid which is located on the injector pump (IP). One solenoid is the "pull in solenoid" which pulls the fuel valve open then eventually is de-powered. The other solenoid is the "hold...

    L4760 ECU issues

Do you have a work shop manual and/or an owner's manual for your tractor? It may have error code definitions in it. Someone who knows may get on this forum and help you. Or contact a dealer somewhere and ask them. I wouldn't throw parts at it, especially an expensive ECU, unless you understand...

    What type of motor oil?

API CJ-4 oil is fine for your older B1550 diesel. It' not meant to be used for engines with DPF.

    BX1500 Fuel Injection Pump

If this machine has a lift pump, they are usually mechanically driven and if the diaphragm tears they can leak diesel into the oil sump. Might want to check that.

    Engine oil

AS long as it meets the SAE Grade and the API grade specified in your owner's manual you are good to go. The key is that you match the last number of the SAE grade ( i.e. 15W40) . That's the hot viscosity index number. If cold weather starting is a problem, you might want to use a lower...

    Which engine oil for BX2380?

That's most likely a mistake. CJ-4 oils are designed for use with both high sulfur (500 ppm) and low sulfur fuels (15ppm). However, some emission system will be damaged with 500 ppm high sulfur fuels. Since only 15ppm low sulfur diesel is available in this country that should not be an issue...
