    Getting the mail in style

Sam, I bet the next time you come up here you won't have any trouble finding my driveway for sure. My postman came up while we were putting it up yesterday and I thought he was going to fall out of his jeep. He said he was sure that it was by far the tuffest built mail box on his rout. I even...

    Insurance clarification

Hi Skip, It sounds like your dealer just wants to hook you and after he made the sale you're screwed. Been there and done that. That's what kind of service people get at my local dealer. If thats not bad enough your insurance company is about as handy as a good case of roids. My M 9000 cab...

Is there any way to attach a small crate or something of that nature to the sub frame of the loader? Just a thought.

    L3000DT Belly Mower

I'll throw my two cents at you. I would buy a quick detach for the loader so you can remove the bucketand leave the loader on while you are mowing. Since it doesn't have mid pto I would forget the belly mower on that model tractor and just buy a 72" Bush hog finishing mower. When the bucket is...

    Getting the mail in style

Tired of the standard duty mail box. It never seems to hold up to a spirited game of mail box baseball that the local thugs seem to enjoy playing. I can't wait till they try to hit a home run on this bad boy. Lets see how well they do against 3/16 plate welded inside and out and even has gussets...

    FEL operations

Glad to help out Dan, I thought by the way you described it that it was a normal act. I used to see this on my Cat loader after I got the mechanic to hook it to his laptop and speed the controls up for me. It would do the same thing. Have a good one.

    L4300D fuel solenoid

If mine goes out and all I loose is the ability to kill the engine with the key then I will do away with it and pull the manual kill switch and be done with it. I'm used to cutting my other tractor off manually so it wouldn't be a big deal.

    Costly mistake

I'm not a mechanic or anything like that. Just a farmer so you will have to forgive me if I tell you wrong. I believe those to cylinders are lift assist for the 3pt. If I understand how they work I think there purpose is to help the internal 3 pt system to lift more weight. It sounds like to me...

    GST transmissions

Thanks for that info Eserv. I didn't know that. I wondered how just a clutch pack could hold up to the abuse a tractor get put thru. Makes more since now.

    GST transmissions

It's a clutch but not a standard dry disc type like a standard shift tractor has. It's more like a clutch pack in a automatic transmission.

    b7100 dual rear ag tires?

Stylo, I just robbed that pic from another post. It's in the off topic section. There was a discusion about duals here a while back. If I remember correctly Service Dept Vic told how to add duals the proper way. I thought the same as you on sliding the hub in on the axle. I believe he said it...

    Costly mistake

Re: Pictures added Unless I'm way off base that is just part of the housing. The hyd pump is hooked to the engine probably on the right side about mid way up toward the front. It should have steel lines running to it. With the ram being jerked out of the cylinder it was obviously over extended...

If I was guessing on that other tractor I bet it's a safety switch that's keeping it from starting. I have had very good luck with my Kubotas. I have 2 right now, my 2nd and forth. My dad bought me a used B 7100 when I was a kid and I used that tractor for everything. I kept it for 16 yrs and...

Diesel engines have a set firing order like a gas engine and require fuel and air to run but that is about where the similarities end. Diesels don't require spark plugs to fire. They have a much higher compression ratio than gas engines do and actually compress the fuel until it burns. The...
