After you get it installed consider getting a Wi-Fi controlled plug to plug the block heater in with. I use ones from TP Link they allow you to set a start & stop time or you can manually control it. It saves a bunch of juice...

Not sure if this helps you... But October 2021 I sold my old B7510 with 980 hours on it for $13,100 $900 bucks less than was paid for it in 2004. I sold it to get a LX2610 for the larger lift capacity and for the SSQA.

I can vouch for how good the Woodland Mills stump grinder works. I have it for my LX2610 Has not grumbled at anything I have thrown at it yet... Now my old B7510 it liked to shake the tractor around and I had to do really small bites.

Use 15w-40 in a brand of your choice as long as it has a API CK-4 rating. I use synthetic oil but that's just my preference as I live in Michigan and the cold flow is a concern.

Also check the "throw" of the starter... Does the pinion fully engage the ring gear or is the ring gear too far away from the starter?

Yes the teflon tape is a great idea. Also from the looks of the boss you should have room to put a small hose clamp around it to reinforce the repair. If you have some pipe the right size (for example a bit of EMT tubing that would be a good reinforcement idea as well.

Just my $0.02... I had a B7510 with a mid mount mower... Used it once took it off and got a zero turn. I never have looked back. As to the thoughts of forks or a grapple with a BX. I think if you have anything much to move you will find the BX can't lift the weight you think it could. Not sure...
