    Stumps I hate them.

Your lucky the Home Depot by me only rents a small hand push one with maybe a 8" chipper wheel and a 5-6 hp motor. That was why I bought my own.... Plus I have at least 1-2 new stumps every spring from trees that fall down during winter storms

    Woodland Mills WG24 Stump Grinder

I have had the Woodland Mills WG24 for a couple of years now. Works very well. One tip I have found that works well is I have a wireless backup camera setup I got just after getting the LX2610 last winter. I have a cell phone mount to hold the "TV part" from the cup holder so the screen is in...

Engine Block Heater Location Ford 6.2 Gas

In the case of my F350 with three 6.0 diesel it only takes about an hour - 90 minutes to get the water warm. Although I park it in the barn. I also have Wi-Fi or there so I use one of these to control the block heaters for the truck and tractor...

Engine Block Heater Location Ford 6.2 Gas

After you get it installed consider getting a Wi-Fi controlled plug to plug the block heater in with. I use ones from TP Link they allow you to set a start & stop time or you can manually control it. It saves a bunch of juice...

    Thinking of selling L3830

Not sure if this helps you... But October 2021 I sold my old B7510 with 980 hours on it for $13,100 $900 bucks less than was paid for it in 2004. I sold it to get a LX2610 for the larger lift capacity and for the SSQA.

    Sabre Samurai Cutter SSQA Mount

I like your idea. Yes I think 1/4" plate probably would work as well. For your 2" square tube what gauge (wall thickness did you use)? I would love to hear how the Samurai Sabre works. I have a lot of branches and brush that are starting to become an issue but most of them are more than 8' off...

What do you use to seal trailer wooden bed?

I used Thompsons water seal on my trailer. It has 2x8 treated boards. I use the trailer for hauling my tractor, Race cars and the Zero turn occasionally. It is not slippery at all Did it 2 years ago probably going to coat it again this fall sometime. I too also store it indoors but wanted to...

On my LX with 15-19.5 R4 tires it cost $205.00 to get them filled at the dealer when they were prepping it.

    Compact tractor purchase

This is what I got last Fall to replace my B7510. I have 10 acres with about 1/2 wooded, 1/3 field that I let a local dairy farmer cut for hay and the house and yard are on the rest. I use a zero turn to mow with. For me an L series it too big to get into my woods and a cab tractor would quickly...

    Stumps I hate them.

I can vouch for how good the Woodland Mills stump grinder works. I have it for my LX2610 Has not grumbled at anything I have thrown at it yet... Now my old B7510 it liked to shake the tractor around and I had to do really small bites.

    maintenence

Use 15w-40 in a brand of your choice as long as it has a API CK-4 rating. I use synthetic oil but that's just my preference as I live in Michigan and the cold flow is a concern.

    D1005 Flywheel Ring Gear Question

Also check the "throw" of the starter... Does the pinion fully engage the ring gear or is the ring gear too far away from the starter?

Age, Hours and Condition Vs what's a fair value

Last October I sold my B7510 for $13,100 (It was $14,000 out the door new in July 2004. It had 980 hours but aside from some cosmetic issues (mostly a broken tail light and plugs in 3 of the tires) it was sound and all the loader pins were tight. Always kept indoors and kept up on oil changes...

    First CUT LX2610 HSD

Just a thought. Depending on how much you plan on using the backhoe. Along with how long it takes to get one. Have you considered hiring the job you plan for the backhoe out? Or renting a mini-ex? If it's for digging out stumps have you considered getting a stump grinder instead? Woodland Mills...

    Hydraulic Top Link

I've been happy with my E Bay special. Came from Holland the cylinder is made in Turkey. It uses British Standard threads but I needed to shorten the hoses anyway. So I took them to the local NAPA store to have 1/4" male fittings crimped on one end of the hoses for the remotes on my LX. The...

    Anybody use JB weld?

Yes the teflon tape is a great idea. Also from the looks of the boss you should have room to put a small hose clamp around it to reinforce the repair. If you have some pipe the right size (for example a bit of EMT tubing that would be a good reinforcement idea as well.

    My first Kubota

Just my $0.02... I had a B7510 with a mid mount mower... Used it once took it off and got a zero turn. I never have looked back. As to the thoughts of forks or a grapple with a BX. I think if you have anything much to move you will find the BX can't lift the weight you think it could. Not sure...
