Mounting a trailer hitch ball on the rear of a BX23S

I haven't operated a BX but if it's like my b6100 and b7100 where you can turn around and reach the top link from the seat, leaving the 3pt 'stabilizers' loose makes it real easy to hook a 3pt trailer ball up to a trailer without having to back up 100% perfectly to it, because you can just reach...

RTV 400 giving shock touching metal frame?

ASE Master Tech here, i teach automotive for a living. It's basically impossible for a 12v system to 'shock' you. If you've ever held a 9v battery to your tongue, you can imagine 12v would be, oh... 33% worse than that. STILL not enough to shock you through DRY skin, although you can sometimes...

    Help!! Kubota excavator won’t start

So I'm not really a 'diesel mechanic' or an 'equipment mechanic' but im an ASE master tech and i do hold a certification in light diesel engines, and know a ton about engine management in general, so take it for what it is.. i don't actually work on a lot of modern diesels (because the ones in...

    B6200dt adding an la302 loader

Excellent!! Yeah that bucket looks a little heavy for that loader/machine, at least from that angle. My factory BF300 on my B8200 has a 48" bucket that i think is too small for it.. Planning to modify another bucket to 54" and swap it on. But my B8200 has a backhoe on it so it has a sort of...

    Adding weight to Brushcutter

Wow, that's a lot better than just welding something directly to it. I really like the adjustability of it. Nice mod!

    B21 - backhoe removal

Good video. It's obvious you don't want the backhoe 'hanging off it' when you finally get those things to pop loose, but the video makes it more clear the way you need to load it up so that it's safe to move those things. (y)

    3rd function on B219 FEL

Well he already said this: In my opinion it would be nice to have 2 buckets, an ~6-8" narrow 'trenching' bucket to break up hard stuff, and a ~12-16" 'looser materials' bucket. Or, a ripper tooth and a ~10" bucket (i think the common stock one is 10"?). If you had to have only one i'd have a...

    Help!! Kubota excavator won’t start

Well dang, i looked at a kx040 brochure and now i want things i can't afford.. AGAIN arrrg https://www.kubotausa.com/docs/default-source/brochure-sheets/kx040.pdf?sfvrsn=db4b902d_4 Can't disagree with the WSM recommendation! I'm pretty sure any newer machine with over 25hp has a good chance...

    B21 - backhoe removal

Ok im trying to understand this problem: Depending on which part is stuck determines what i would do next. IF the orange handle is able to move and is just banging back and forth on that small pin without actually retracting the silver 'lock', i would just pry between the silver lock and the...

    B6200dt adding an la302 loader

If you're talking about the 3 hoses from the loader valve to the tractor there should be markings on the ports on the valve, or worst case it is possible to figure it out visually in most cases. My BF300 valve looks just like the one My Barn posted, so if yours looks like that and you haven't...

    Help!! Kubota excavator won’t start

Well, if you've got fuel to the injectors you might have narrowed it down to 'only the hard stuff left'.. great! I don't know anything about a kx040 specifically, but 'common rail' diesels have to have electrically controlled injectors, so the most likely thing is that the 'computer' simply...

    3rd function on B219 FEL

So i've operated a b670 a little bit (hour or two) and i agree that a 24" bucket is 'silly' on that machine because it would make the machine less capable in most conditions, to make it potentially faster in a tiny minority of cases. I don't think it would be silly to HAVE a 24" bucket for it...

90's model Kubota B20 FEL and 3pnt stopped working suddenly.

Ouch, harsh. True but harsh. 😂 Well, now i know the B20 has a separate pump for the loader. The similar Kubotas of that era (like my b8200) ran their loaders and 3pt off the same pump, so it was a very plausible mistake to assume that was so on a b20 (never having seen one myself).

Mounting a trailer hitch ball on the rear of a BX23S

I bought a different style of those and do a couple of ‘unusual’ things with it.. I built a set of forks you can drive under and drive out of without getting off tractor, and i run an atv landscape rake off it. And normal hitch things too, of course. With it on a long bar i can reach over...

    3rd function on B219 FEL

Not sure what i just missed.. is that your tractor OldHokie? Anyway as a fellow b219 owner im all for it, but keep in mind attaching to the stock light duty bucket in that way is.. light duty. Would work for grappling large piles of light brush, or keeping a large log from falling out (if you...

    G1800 cranks , won’t fire

Ok. Well, as an ASE master tech I can tell you from my industry experience that regardless of what's 'wrong' with that pump, it'll come back 'fixed', with a matching bill. And then we'll find out if that was ever what was wrong with it. :) Hopefully the fact that the fuel was turned up wasn't...

    Bucket Edge

Backdragging with the fel bucket is highly highly adjustable and will only really expose the bucket cyls to danger if done with the bucket edge pointed too far down. Keep in mind with the loader in float, it can only ‘float’ as fast as it can piss two cylinders’ worth of fluid through a 1/4”...

    B7100 Parts Needed, non HST

Just fyi as far as 7100 vs 6100 the steering column, engine firewall, throttle linkages, and possibly the hood itself are slightly different. The 7100 has the dash, firewall, and top of hood located slightly higher up (i assume for legroom/ergonomics) vs the 6100 so for example if you put a 6100...

    G1800 cranks , won’t fire

Ok. So what are the perfect storm possibilities of what could go wrong from touching it? You dont lock it down and it vibrates all the way out? Or you crank it in too far and it physically interferes somewhere, or overfuels so much at low rpm that its hard to start? Does it change injection...
