80 foot trench for propane line

Propane guy just left. He was really cool. He was an independent contractor so he gave me some tips on how to negotiate the deal. His recommendation was to swap out my single 100gal for a 500gal tank. He said that would be adequate for the generator, range and shop heater. He would run a 1"...

80 foot trench for propane line

My generator is only about 10’ away from the existing 100 gal tank (behind the shed). I am not sure of the dimensions of the bigger tank, but that shed is 8’ long, so if I was swapping out to a bigger tank, I’d like it to be behind the shed as well.

80 foot trench for propane line

My generator is already up and running (when needed). It came with the house when I bought it back in 2016. The existing 100 gal tank is on lease from the propane co. I don’t think this particular co. sells the tanks. They only lease them because then you have to buy the propane from them. I...

80 foot trench for propane line

ok thanks. I’ll ask propane site tech tomorrow about the bigger tank. Can I have one big tank (say 500 gal) feed the generator, my range and a shop heater, or should I keep the generator propane supply completely separate?

80 foot trench for propane line

Hi everyone. Thanks so much for the awesome feedback. Here are some additional details. The propane co. told me the trench had to be 24" deep with 6" sand bed. I'm assuming, based on basic math, that code requires the line to be at least 18" deep. I did ask them if I could run black pipe...

80 foot trench for propane line

I am adding a adding 100gal propane tank for a new kitchen range (and eventual heater for the shop). The tank is going to be set behind a shed and I need to dig an 80 foot trench for the propane line. Municipal code requires the trench to be 24” deep, and there needs to be 6” of sand for the...

    PFL1242 Land Pride pallet forks

After doing a bit of research, I’ve landed on wanting to pick up a set of these pallet forks to use with my B2601. My local dealer has them in stock and the are just a tick under $1k. Is that the going price? I have no frame of reference so figured I’d ask here.

    Newbie tractor owner maintenance question

My B2601 has about 60 hrs on it now and I believe that it is due for some maintenance. I was going to purchase the WSM from Coleman’s and have a go at doing the maintenance myself (figure I could always ask for help here if I get stuck). I have a very specific question that’s may not be...

    Work Shop Manuals (WSM)

I went to the Coleman’s site to look for a WSM for my 2021 B2601 and the most current one looks like it’s from 2017. https://www.colemanequip.com/parts/details/KubotaParts/WSM---TRACTOR--B2301-B2601--NOV--17/9Y111-11562/ would that be correct even for a newer machine? thanks

    B2601 Piranha Bar mounting

Definitely improves the ‘digging’ capability of the loader. I’m in the process of trying to reduce the steepness of a slope behind my garage and the tooth bar definitely has more bite. 🙄 In addition, I am looking to spread some of the dirt I remove so I am guessing I will have to remove the...

    B2601 Piranha Bar mounting

I went with leaving the bolt-on edge. Installation went as planned. Only thing I would do is get longer bolts. It came with 1 1/4 in. 3/4” bolts, but I had to use C-clamps in order to get the lock washers on. I plan on replacing them with 1 1/2 in. long bolts. Am going to use the bar before the...

    B2601 Piranha Bar mounting

Apologies for the double photos. I just spoke to the people at HardParts and they said my bar was designed to be used with or without the bolt-on flat edge. so it seems like there is no right or wrong answer. I like the ide of leaving the bolt-on edge on the bucket because it will make things...

    B2601 Piranha Bar mounting

My Piranah bar arrived last week and the directions are pretty straightforward except my bucket has a bolt-on flat edge. Do I remove that when mounting the tooth bar, or mount over it? On the photos on the BXattachment site, it looks like there is no bolt-on flat edge, but it also looks like...

    First tractor

Thanks! Probably a dumb follow-up question, but to I have to buy the Kubota rear-blade assembly, or are there other alternatives that may cost a little less? I’m still learning the ropes here. :)

    First tractor

I reached out to the dealer. They told me that the bracket had been replaced and that it may need a little bit of adjustment. They also said they would take care of the hood. They are coming back for the tractor one day next week. I’ll let you know what happens. on a side note - does anyone...

    First tractor

Tractor got delivered today. I used it for about an hour to move some snow around. I’m really happy with it but have two questions to ask the dealer tomorrow. 1. They originally told me that the delivery was delayed because there was some misalignment of one of the mounting pins for the...

The dealer tells me that my tractor will be delivered this Saturday (as long as we don't get the foot of snow they are forecasting). Fingers crossed
