Best way to spread top soil

I’m not opposed to getting a landscape rake, I’m just a little intimidated in removing the backhoe. I’ve never done that. You can never have too many implements, right? When my neighbor was putting down fresh stone on his driveway last year, I saw him towing a rake behind his ATV. Is that...

Best way to spread top soil

Here’s another shot of some of the yard I want to have grass in. You can still see excavator tracks from yesterday when he moved all the rocks into a wall. there was no grass here previously but since they had to clear a path for a new well line, I want to make it ‘green’ And my wife is also...

Best way to spread top soil

Appreciate all the responses. I don’t have a box blade or a rake. Also seems like I should just let the topsoil sits where it is until we get a stretch of dry weather. 😕 Should I cover that with a tarp? What exactly is a ‘tap curl’? I’m still learning how to use my tractor.

Best way to spread top soil

I had to have install a propane line in my backyard for new a new stove and garage heater. I used my B2601 to dig the trench (~80 ft). Everything went fine, except that my entire back yard is completely destroyed and is a big mud pit (I also had to have a new well installed last fall and that’s...

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

I I think the magnet idea looks great! Very clean. No problem with them getting jostled and falling off?

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

I got the new LEDs installed today. They are definitely better than the old filament bulbs. I also got a 12” LED light bar and am trying to decide if I should mount it to the grill or up on the ROPS. Auxbeam 12 Inch LED Light Bar... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M0P9ATC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

GeoHorn Is your light bar mounted to piece of wood and then mounted to your grill? Or is that just the light in the photo?

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

I was able to get them out. They were just in there super-tight. I ran down to my local Advance Auto with one of the old bulbs. They sold me a pair of Sylvania bulbs that they said were exact duplicates of the Stanleys in the tractor, but they did not work. I'll just wait for the LEDs to come...

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

Thanks guys! I ordered a set of LEDs form Amazon and will also look for a ROPS LED light bar. The B2601 does not have the rubber boot. I'll snap a photo later. I'll also try the WD-40 trick

    B2601 Headlight bulb change

Neither of the headlights on my B2601 are working. At first I thought it might be a fuse because the tractor is only a year old, but the manual says the gauge panel and headlights are on same fuse, and I do have lights on panel. I popped the hood and figured the bulb socket would just twist...

80 foot trench for propane line

The propane co. was out for the third time yesterday. They said the trench was good. The only ‘hiccup’ is that they can’t put a 500 gal propane tank behind my shed (where the current 100 gal one currently resides). Due to local ordinances, any tank over 100 gal has to be 10’ away from any...

80 foot trench for propane line

That black tube is connected to the downspout coming off the corner of the shop. I didn’t realize it was there and may have damaged it. I’m going to inspect it a bit closer today and will replace it if it’s damaged. Not sure where it emptied out.

80 foot trench for propane line

My other question has to do with my tractor. What RPM should I run it at while digging, and I’ve also noticed that it seems to have lost some of its ‘strength’ to lift bigger rocks with the thumb. I checked the hydraulic fluid and that seems fine, but I’ve notice that when I’ve gone to move some...

80 foot trench for propane line

I started on the trench today. To answer some of the questions about using a ditch witch, there are a lot of rocks in my soil.

The 1” line would be for the generator, range and Big Dawg shop heater (they I have yet to purchase).
