One of the coolest things wifey and I have ever seen was the space shuttle launchs. We lived in West Palm Beach in the 80s and they would track right over us…incredible. We would get up for the night launches which were even more mind blowing. Our place was about 90 miles down range.

Figure out how you wanna plow or move snow around the installation site. In one of the pics you can see a trench I dug so snow wouldn’t block the opening of the gate unless is was a couple feet deep. That is why I didn’t want a track or wheel either. Snow or ice would clog it up or build up...
In snow country consider using a sliding gate…less digging…ask me how I know. I built my own. 26’ clear span, no rollers to clog up. Weighs about 800-1000lbs.
As others mentioned…figure out the opener system and gadgets you want (remote control panel, loops, power etc.
Get a commercial grade...
I heard about this happening (here in CA they were all screaming that users are killing the world and we are evil for not caring about babies or something). I heard that because of that class action suit part of the deal was to change the formula for casual users.
I promptly went around and...
This is one of those times when “you jump first” is maybe a good thing. Me, I will rely on you good folks to scream loud if stuff goes missing…I am right behind you on this.😜
it pisses me off when you guys brag.😜
Gas is 4.75-6 bucks out here…and they passed some new rules that will add about a buck a gallon on top of that. Oh, the air board is voting this week to change the rules on refineries…two already closed and two more said they will…so a quarter of capacity...
I beat the crap outa my BH76 on the same subframe. We have volcanic rock and breaking that crap free requires some serious effort. I check my mount and subframe every few months and can’t imagine it busting like that…
The biggest issue looks like the axle housing destruction. Not sure what...
Welp, lack of experience…in life and with tractors, holier than thou edumacation from elite universities, lack of etiquette, an internet ethos of being rude and condescending if someone doesn’t immediately bend the knee to their obviously superior knowledge and approach and people not agreeing...
We have wave runner docks that get beaten on that are attached with stainless pins. The normal end clips get out in a week or two…with that twisted end I have never lost one in years.
I use these, the one on the right,of the left hitch pin set up, on my dock and stuff where losing them is an issue. There are a couple versions with those tails, but I found these work well.
Sure looks like it sat in water…maybe look around other “concealed“ parts of the tractor for signs of a waterline or other signs someone replaced damaged electronics or similar.
Check that seal on the spline shaft while you are there…I wonder if there was any water that got past that into other...
Nothing special about weather here…mid 70s last week, this week and next week. Now, we do have over 40 MILLION people, earthquakes, fires, illegals, anti 2A leftists and much much more!👍
I don’t climb up big trees with a chainsaw, do roof repairs near the edge, do the tranny/top end engine work anymore either. I figure with the amount of money I saved doing basically everything myself (including the roll up garage door spring/hardware update)…I can pay someone to do certain...
‘I always love you folks’ projects in free states. The permitting for just that little project would take years, cost 10s of thousands of dollars and mitigation for loss of habitat and incursion into the riparian setback area. More power to you…and looks like a fun project.
Who the hell let the troll in the fort!😜
The guy I used to hire to clear my lot each year, before I bought my tractor, said he love his Kioti. He used his a lot and said parts were cheaper and easier to get than Kubota as well. We are in the sticks so he was initially worried about...
