    Cold Roll Industrial Bucket(s) Review

I wonder what grade of steel they use. Typically 1018 cold rolled steel is about the weakest available, but that can vary. I sure wouldn't name my company after a steel that people in the machine trades equate to cheap steel.

    Stump removal & yard rehab

This maple stump cost me $300 to grind it out. The grade was steep in the opposite direction and roots ran in all directions that were ground out. The Wheel Horse 36" bucket was just wide enough to handle the firewood. As you can see I cut it as low as possible.

    $16K repair bill

This sounds like a typical Facebook post, a simple repair blown WAAAY out of proportion. Clean the fuel system or find a local mechanic with ethics and report back.

Electrical Mystery; seeking ideas to account for a sudden stop in all electrical amperage flow on L39

I had that a number of times on my snowmobiles. We had a guy haul them on a special built tractor trailer and it must have rode rough because the batteries were bad at the end of the run. I dissected one to see what was happening and found a break between cells where the link passes thru the...

How NOT to do a hydraulic oil change...

I may have mentioned it before, the Amish in my area heat their barns with used oil and take all they can get. If you have them in your area, ask around.

    Oil pan Plug thread size

It sounds like the drain plug was an oversized or double oversized repair plug that was installed by a previous mechanic. Yes, they make drain plugs to fix oil drains that were damaged by excessive tightening.

    Rats ate my wires

It should be mentioned in this thread that wiring insulation is now being made from a soy based product. Brilliant move making wiring from food. It is bad enough for automobiles, but tractors often are stored in barns or out buildings where rodents often reside.

    Grapple questions

I have the 54" and wouldn't buy another one. The loader arms stick down well below the grapple causing them to dig soil unless the grapple is tilted far forward. The forward tilt reduces the effective opening. The grapple cannot be placed on the ground for removal because the loader arms are...

    Engine Rebuild gone wrong?

It might be OK, take some more photos and try to get in focus at the drill mark, the current photo is too far out of focus to give a good diagnosis.

    Hydraulic Oil funnel??

$11.46 and free shipping on the popular auction site. Often when you see a ridiculous high price it is because the product isn't available from that supplier.

    Greasing your machine....The hate/hate relationship.

I use about 1/2 roll of paper towels, it costs maybe $.60 and I don’t have to deal with disgusting dirty rags. At one time I was frugal and thought it was a waste, but the benefits far outweigh the pennies spent.
