Replacing Bearings on BX2751 Quick Hitch

The lock collars are to be tightened in the direction of the shaft rotation, in this case they might be tightened in either direction.

    Propane question?

I helped my daughter acquire an old house and then I updated the electrical service. The required inspection for connection had an inspector tell me to run a ground to a short piece of copper plumbing despite the fact that CPVC was on both sides of that piece. The previous owner patched in...

    hydraulic oil coolant hose

Sounds like you continued to run the tractor without regard to coolant level, maybe the overheating did considerable engine damage. We can't see it from here to make a better diagnosis.

    Grease guns that don't leak?

I don't know if it is a fire hazard but I cover oily shelves and line chainsaw boxes with pee pads, when they get ugly I change them out. Luckily I found a large case of them just 2 weeks ago at a benefit garage sale that well may be a lifetime supply.

    B2601 Out in rain?

I would worry more about it turning pink in the hot sun, can you find some shade?

    Tree root question

Cutting too much root will kill the tree. Burying a root that has developed some bark will cause it to rot. You may need to go to another option and that is to do some landscaping around the tree that does not include grass or covering the roots with soil.

    Machining question for lynnmor

I would mount an indicator in the spindle and swing it in similar to what Blondi did at approximately 9:40. Of course she had way too much problem since she can't divide by two. Hopefully you have an indicator so you can tram the milling machine head in and indicate the vise.

    Kinda sad

This reminded me to check the do not call list. Got this response: "You successfully registered your phone number ending in XXXX on June 25, 2005." I changed the number to XXXX, but it is so great that the government is looking out for me. I wonder how many employees and retirees are well...

    Stupid little "project"

Yep, now you got it. I can still remember that drawing on the high school shop wall showing the proper use of a center drill. Just so you know, I have been doing machining for the past 62 years and have owned and operated my tool & die shop for the past 39 years. When you need a hand, please...

    Stupid little "project"

The reason that I brought it up is that you don't have a good grip on the bolt AND the 60 degree taper on the center drill is the locating surface for your 60 degree live center.

    Stupid little "project"

Why would you use a center drill as large as the bolt? I guess that you are going to turn the head down to the diameter of the threads?

    Fluid Changes

Make your own from planks obtained at a sawmill, they will be safer than most plastic or tin ramps from an auto parts store. You can use a rope to drag them to the point of use. Most systems should be level for complete draining, so you should raise both ends.

    John Deere Announces Layoffs

I agree, my GM stock went to zero while the gubbermint took care of the union to buy votes. Of course those "workers" should keep a pension and I count for nothing.

    Brakes popping

Did you use an air powered impact wrench with a torque stick? How do you know that the lug nuts were tightened to the proper specification?

    Top clearance and iming issues

Pistons often have a slightly offset wrist pin to help prevent piston slap. The height should be the same even if they were installed wrong.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

She has an advantage over me with those long thin legs. 😊

BH92 creaking noise when moving the boom left to right not in and out

Kubota is good at painting grease fittings shut or not tightening them, so be sure that grease is actually going thru and not just forming a pile next to the fitting. Black moly grease is recommended for a backhoe.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I wouldn't be much help since I never did a delete but I am aware of much of what goes on. Basically a Diesel Particulate Filter collects the carbon particles that can be seen as black smoke, and then burns them when needed. Eliminating that filter and altering the electronics will allow the...

    2016 Ford DEF question (problem)

There is an extended warranty on the DEF heater, I don't know if a sender problem is included.
