    The Break In Period

Don't overthink it. I use my new 2601 as a mowing tractor. Start it up, let it run for a few minutes. Then engage the belly mower and set the rpm's at 2700-2800 and go mow. I make sure the fluids are topped off. When I hit the 50 hour mark, I will put fresh fluids in it.

Removing the horizontal spring on B2601 HSD

A big thank you to GSD-Keegan for the info. I removed the horizontal gray spring with drum brake spring tool. (Yes, I'm that old.) I just drove it around the property. It is MUCH easier to use the reverse now. When I released the pedal going either forward or reverse it went right back to...

Removing the horizontal spring on B2601 HSD

I may just remove it and replace it with a much weaker spring. There's no sense in it being this difficult. If I am backing up and pick my foot up to quickly, it shuts it down like I jammed on the brakes. It's like the reverse pto safety switch that was on my 1025R I traded in. To back up...

Removing the horizontal spring on B2601 HSD

The tractor is 9 days old. I absolutely love it. Except for the reverse pedal. After 3 hours of mowing on it I am now having Achille's tendon pain on my right leg. For those who have removed the horizontal spring, have you had any issues afterward? I hate to start messing around with a...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Thanks for the suggestion. I will drop the rear tires down to 15.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I dropped the air pressure in my R4 tires. When I brought my 2601 home, the tires were maxed out at 36 front, and 40 rear. Mowing with it made my old zero turn feel like a Cadillac. I dropped them down to 30 front and 30 rear and then mowed a different part of the property with it...

B26 TLB - Broken rear axle

I have read on JD forums about 2025R having rear axle failures too. I'm not saying it caused it, but there is one constant in the failures. . . All the tractors had rear wheel spacers on them at the time of the failure.

    Kubota Financing is insane

Inventories are definitely changing on some of the product lines. Last year I was told it would take 8-10 months just to get a belly mower for the B2601. The one I purchased with my tractor last week was in stock.

    Kubota Financing is insane

I don't think so. They never ran my credit, so they wouldn't know credit wise where I'm at. It may have something to do with the region you're in. Different regions sometimes have different discounts. I tried to make the same deal last year, but the numbers were much different price wise...

    Kubota Financing is insane

I paid cash for my B2601 last week. Kubota gave me 800 off for being a cash buyer. What is the OP’s income to debt ratio? Credit score doesn’t matter if you’re up to your ears in unpaid loans. . .

    Big Tex trailer

I purchased a 14 foot car hauler to haul my side by side on, as well as my motorcycles or anything else I needed a trailer for. I ran Z-Trac railing from the front to the back on each side of the trailer, as well as down the middle. I ran the bolts through the lumber and into the frame...

B2601 54 inch deck mulching kit?

Your right GrizBota. It is an RCK54-32. I've done an online search until I'm blue I'm the face. I guess the dealer was right when they told me they're not available.

B2601 54 inch deck mulching kit?

I tried to purchase a mulching kit for the 54 inch deck on my 2601. The dealer said they weren't available. I find that a little hard to believe. I had one on my 1025R deck and it was awesome. Especially in the fall when I had leaves everywhere. Do they make them for my mower? If so...

She's a retired nurse practitioner from a major cancer hospital. She's experienced in dealing with doctors and insurance companies. She's very no nonsense. As far as the $600 dollar amount she asked for, the difference between our trade in and the new tractor was $7600. She said make it an...

Mainly for additional ground clearance, and the 3 range hydro transmission. But there were also several small things about the JD that added up to being a PIA. . . 1: Having to push the PTO button to back up while mowing is ridiculous. 2: Having to change the inline fuel filter too often...

When the salesperson gave me the numbers, I was ready to write the check. . . My wife said," Call your sales manager back and tell hm we will write the check right now if he takes off $600 more." o_Oo_O The sales lady said ok. . . She called her sales manager back and told him we would buy...

Just a quick hello to everyone. I just returned from my local Kubota dealership where I traded in my JD1025R for a B2601. I wasn't holding out much hope that he would have everything, but he did. Not only did he have two 2601's in stock, but he also had a 54" MMM for it. The sales...
