    Kubota L3200 Drawbar

Just can't believe that a drawbar would be optional equipment. Regarding Komatsu and the tires.... Giant earthmover and truck tires have skyrocketed in price and become scarce as hens teeth. It's not suprising that they're offering a customer that option. It makes sense if they've got an old...

    Snowblower Shear Bolts failing

Ok, so a 5/16 shear bolt should handle a lot before breaking. You could almost stall our old 65 HP Farmall on our M-C Rotary Scythe mower and it just had a 5/16 shear bolt. A 3/8 should handle a bunch of power! I would check two things (assuming you've already checked all the other driveline...

    Mopar guys

One spring I started my motorcycle to discover shelled corn raining down all over the garage floor. They had filled the entire top frame with kernels, from a corn storage area over 150 feet away! Wish I had their determination and energy.

Ag tires on the front turf on rear

Chains!, Just take'm off in the spring when time to mow grass. Suppose you could just put chains on the front, be cheaper than tires & will last forever.

installed new clutch on l2500 now gears grind??

Sounds like maybe the clutch disk is binding just a hair on the splines not letting it center and release fully. Must be releasing enough though, or you wouldn't get it in gear at all.

    Dynamo to alternator conversion

    Shoes for my front blade

'Round here TSC carries replacement skids/shoes for snow plows. Would be easy enough to add a set to a tractor mounted blade. Have thought about adding them to my blade but kind of prefer the snow-blower. Matter of fact... I limed the front yard today  (first trip over the drive with...

Lots of white smoke when starting

The smoke and running characteristics in the video don't seem all that out of the ordinary for a diesel started cold. I mean.... doesn't it run smooth and efficiently once it warms just a little? From other posts it sounds as if it is a common cold start symptom with this engine. It could be due...

Hooking up a rear scraper blade on a BX2360

I soooo hate three-point hitch! Longing for the days when we had the old Farmall "Fast-hitch". But... for 3-point hook-up I find it easiest to lower the arms on the tractor almost all the way, hook-up one side lower link, then the other and the top link last. If you lower the arms you can lift...

What is the story on press plates?

Well, in my experience the thicker the better with your press support plates. Any movement or give in the plate is an invitation for something to move just when you don't want it to. I ues the press in my bro-in-law's auto machine shop quite a lot. We have two plates 1 thick by 6 wide and 18...

who flys flags here and why?

Just the US flag. Proud to be an American, regardless what the rest of the world, and some of our own citizens, may sometimes think.

    My heart goes out

It's a terrible thing that happened in that school building. Just awful. That being said, there always have been, and always will be (at least untill the end time) bad people who do terribly bad things. There is little, if anything, that we can do to stop that. It occurs to me that we spend a...

    Mid-PTO lever drifting

Hey, ya gotta love the on-line availability of parts diagrams. They've saved me a bunch of work and money on everything from appliances to my pick-up. Good luck!

    Mid-PTO lever drifting

Hmmm... According to the Kubota on-line illustrated parts diagram your spring detent for the mid-pto lever is located in the top of the mid-pto "add-on" gear case on the bottom of the transmission. Looks to be held on with 4 bolts, the lever shaft is held in with a locating pin that slides out...

    Mid-PTO lever drifting

That (regardless of make and model) is often a symptom of a worn gear or spur gear. The gear wear causes end thrust on the sliding gear and pushes it toward the neutral position. It can also be a symptom of the detent ball not properly engaging its "in-gear" detent position. The latter is the...

    What a difference!

Ok, So I have an old M4500 with a Harris Cab. Since I've had it I've complained about excessive gear noise. Much of this I've attributed to having UDT type fluid in it rather than the 80W that originally came from the factory. But...The other day I finally decided to install a fabric head-liner...
