Mixing my own 'windshield washer solution' to load tires

I used a 15 gallon garden spray tank with the 12 volt pump. I simply jacked the rear of the tractor up about 1" off the ground. Removed the valve core. Rotate tire so valve stem is at 12:oo position. Clamp hose from spray tank to valve stem. Dump gallon jugs into the tank. Use battery to...

    Confusion on Hydro Fluid Change

Larry, the hyd oil super LUDT2 is $103 for 5 gallons. Changing the hyd oil every 200 hours seems too soon. I'd think at least 400.

Mixing my own 'windshield washer solution' to load tires

Believe it or not, winter windshield washer fluid does go on sale. At Walmart, I had the manager tell me folks will not buy winter rated washer fluid in the summer so they put it on sale at the end of winter. I purchased 62 gallons in one store and 22 in another for $1 a gallon. Got to wait...

    Parking and implements

I was helping a man years ago do some work on his farm. He left his bucket a few feet off the ground when he went in for lunch. When he came out he discovered his dog under the bucket. Not a pleasant scene.

Canopy. Are they good to have or not?

Mikester, the golf cart canopy that is from E-Z-Go are far from flimsy. I'd venture to say they are much more durable then any product sold as a tractor canopy. I have 4 other canopys and one from E-Z-Go. The E-Z-Go is a good size, strong, easy to mount and inexpensive. I paid $25 for the...

M5040D Tractor step broke causing serious injuries August 18, 2020

WT, that doesn't look like it would apply to the OP's model of tractor by a long shot. I appreciate you posting that, but we probably won't be hearing back with much more information. Thanks. I appreciate what you contribute to this forum. Have a good Christmas!

What's interesting is the one giving the injection just goes on as everything is normal. The one receiving the injection looks to see he's finished, rolls his sleeve down and gets up. The spectators all clap as they are finished with their salesmanship class!

    Are you going to.....

I agree in general, but if the information (on a forum) is backed by the people you mention with a link, or evidence, it becomes as valid as the person saying it person to person. The problem in our society is the main news media is so biased the truth has to be searched out beyond what they...

M5040D Tractor step broke causing serious injuries August 18, 2020

I appreciate the photos. I am curious about your injuries and how they occurred. How did the step get bent? Do you know the safety recall information? I did some digging online and found this. "I bought a used 2008 Kubota M5040 and emailed Kubota to see about how to check to see if my...

    Tractors an Brush Burn Pits

I burn brush frequently. Usually have two piles to add material to. I never dig a hole, only burn on grade. Also, never push material into a fire with a grapple only the bucket. It's too easy to get material hung up in the grapple, and if it is on fire or ignites it's a new problem!
