L1720 FEL Cylinder Hose Fitting Size/Type & General Rebuild Q's?

The hose swivels could be JIC or NPSM. IIRC they were NPSM on my B1730 loader. Remove one and size and type will be obvious. EDIT: Quick look at the manual says ports are JIC-8 (3/4-16 UNF). Its pretty safe to assume the hose swuvels are the same. Rods look pretty bad - polish with some very...

What goes up dont come down

Using the hydraulic outlet block puts that old valve in series with the 3pt. The valve is a vanilla open center valve and with the tank return connected to the return port on the hydraulic outlet block he is using tank as power beyond. That will allow the 3pt to operate normally but it places...

What goes up dont come down

That slotted head screw looks like it might be part of an inlet relief assembly but I cant be sure. Correct the OUT side plumbing and report the results. Dan

What goes up dont come down

See my earlier reply. I dont see any signs of a relief valve in that loader valve. Post a better picture of the inlet side. If no pressure relief that valve is not suitable for use on your tractor and you are flirting with destroying the pump. Dan

What goes up dont come down

OK - your valve does not have a power beyond port. The boss is there but its not been drilled. The OUT port MUST go back to the hydraulic block. Make that change and tell us what you are getting. At a minimum your 3pt should now work. Dan

What goes up dont come down

The line you have connected to the block supplies pressure to the inlet port on the loader valve. You MUST return that pressure to the other port on the hydraulic block. Your valve should have more than one outlet port. One should be labeled T for tank. That port goes to the return you added...

What goes up dont come down

Its incorrect plumbing. To start with you have the pump pressure port diverted but the return port next to it is plugged. Thats obviously wrong. How about a simple sketch of your valve connection to the tractor And the model number of your valve. Dan

The cylinder will extend even witj a "massive" leak. Disconnect the hose and use a gauge to test the pressure going to the cylinder. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0087UYSPS Sounds like yet another port relief problem. Dan

    M5 091 FEL hydraulic issues

I deleted my first reply because I misunderstood your complaint. I thinknI have it right this time. First the bucket dump circuit in the loader valve uses regen so you cannot reverse the ports. Put them back as you had them. Second the regen feature increases dump speed but at the cost of...

    Hydraulic thumb adjustment

I have tons of time so no need to worry about that. I found the shitty picture on the Kubota site and yes its worthless. A good picture of that valve might provide some insights.... This aint rocket science - you have a pressure source, a valve, and a cyinder. You can easily isolate the...

    Advice Needed for spreading dirt

By my calculation thats 5,-6 tandem loads. Have them dumped in equally spaced piles across the area to be covered. Push and back drag to spread each pile. You can spread a pile in a matter of minutes and I would rough spread each one between deliveries. Finish grade after all the loads have been...

    Hydraulic thumb adjustment

Actually I dont know but I will have a look at the parts breakdown in an attempt to educate myself. You seem to be indicating there is a relief valve just for the thumb which strikes me as odd. Is this a port relief perhaps? Dan

    Hydraulic thumb adjustment

RPM is not going to help. A gauge is $20 plus whatever fittings but its probably going to tell you what you slready know - no pressure. My question is what relief are we talking about and why is it only the thumb with the issue? Dan
