    Hst parking

This is much more serious than to be taken casually. A friend of mine had his tractor to creep up on him when he had his back turned. It ran over and killed him. He left a wife and two small children.

    Hood Latch Woes

I didn't know when I posted this whether it had ever happened to anyone before. Your response verifies that it has and could happen to others and justifies bringing it to everyone's attention.

    Hood Latch Woes

No bolts or anything shook loose. The latching/unlatching rod is spring loaded which holds it inside of the latch. My thoughts are that slamming the hood closed caused the rod to jump free of the latch. I have no idea whether this has ever happened to anyone before, but lowering the hood...

    Hood Latch Woes

I went out this afternoon to take a look at my fuel injector wetness "problem" and the hood unlatching rod was disconnected from the latching mechanism. Da wigglin' pin had come outta da wobblin' hole! With the hood latched and no way to unlatch it, I was in a sorta situation. I didn't want...

After many years of successful practice as respected gynecologist the Doctor decided to change careers. He had bought a small farm and acquired a few various animals and the older used equipment to do the work of putting up feed, harvesting etc. Because shop time to keep his equipment...

Thanks, I'll try to do just that. My surgery is scheduled for the 18th, but there is sooo much that I need to do between now and then. I tried today: LINK

    M4900 injectors

That's what I figured. I am prepping for total knee replacement surgery and have not had/taken the time to investigate.

    M4900 injectors

My question isn't about removing the injectors, but sorta related. All 5 of my injectors and the area surrounding them are wet. Not dripping wet but wet. I have not had time to do any diagnostics nor tried to tighten anything. Normal? What to look for?

    Hello everyone

Welcome to OTT Paul. I have only been here a month, and any questions that I have asked have been promptly answered. Seems that everyone wants to help.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Don't know what he was thinking but they are coming off. If my temporary hook attachments work, they will stay. We shall see. I have/run a Wood-Mizer portable sawmill and have pallet forks for logs but I want the hooks on the bucket for whatever reason.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I have only had my "new-to-me" M4900 for a couple of months so I am still making a few changes. The FEL bucket had a couple of hooks welded inside which have already hooked vines and caused me to have to dismount a few times. What I did may be temporary but it will work for now. A couple of...

    Damage brush hogging?

Be certain that your blades are sharp. Also the front needs to be lower than the rear to keep the BushHog from having to deal with cutting the grass more than once. (The above is from my BushHog operator's manual.)

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I have no agricultural land such as Alfalfa fields anywhere close to me. When we had cattle on the property we always had rye, oats, or wheat planted, but none now. Acorns are the deer's primary food source in our area and most hunting is geared toward the producing Oak trees. My plots are...

The deer food plots are done but I still have some bushhogging to do.

    M4900 Lift arm height

Oops, I answered without going back and looking at your picture. Yours are the same tires that are on my old backhoe. When I get some weight (water or whatever) I'm gonna mark and move that position control linkage. The WSM shows using front "suitcase" weights but I have none of those. I...

    M4900 Lift arm height

mub; May very well be, but Newlytime has the same tractor and his lift arm height is ~10" higher than mine?? Newlytime; My height is 16 3/4" which is understandable comparing Ag tires vs turf tires.

    M4900 Lift arm height

No I have Ag tires, but it would not make that much difference. Your top height is ~10" higher than mine. * You should see an option to rotate your pictures. One easy thing that I have found is that if you are taking the pictures with your phone, always orient it horizontally and with the...
