    Power Steering conversion

I am getting the kit for the L245DT, but for my B7100HST, years ago, I purchased a full power steering system (minus pump) for cub Cadet but the hydraulic cylinder has only 5/8" piston.........not good for the L245 so I am using that on the B7100HST when I finish the loader for it, but a...

http://www.tractorpowersteering.com/ The guy told me he could send me the exact kit I needed for my L245DT but it will be in the line of $600.00 or more. Hope that helps? I am putting power steering on my L245DT and my B7100HST.

    shifting lock up on L245DT

By the way in case anybody is interested.........when I put my 6 foot box blade on while digging, steering is almost easy with full bucket (but I can't get into tight places with 6 foot box). Thanks.

    shifting lock up on L245DT

Thanks for the feedback gpreuss and Vic. I am not certain shifting forks are not worn, I just thought where I changed covers (with levers) that it negated backward or worn forks, yet both covers could be worn. I am installing power steering on it soon, so will have to take it apart anyway...

    shifting lock up on L245DT

Hi all, and I hope service department Vic will answer this with his expertise. My L245DT with FEL when I am digging (and I am always in 4 wheel drive as our property is mostly steep hills) I use low range to fill the bucket, then switch to high range to travel. Often, when I shift to high...

    Steering Box Reassembly

A tie rod end remover works excellent for removing the pitman arm, it's just a forked tapered tool that you hammer on with quick shock blows. The steering wheel is very easy if you put your knees under it and push upward while using a air powered muffler tool with round end and use it on the...

'Orange' Grease Zerks (Fittings) SAE or Metric

To all for info on grease fittings. The smaller fittings in american are all 1/4-28 and the metric (same diameter) will go right into the same place with very small amount of torque. small diameter zerks are usable in both metric and standard american sizes, larger sizes are pipe threads and...

    service and operators manual

Ebay has all the manuals for all the tractors and all implements real reasonable, you just have to look. I purchased all mine including the pdf parts manuals from ebay. Then when I use them, I copy the pag/pages I need from the manual and use the copies, that way I don't mess up the manuals.

    L3010 PTO Shaft Broken

I think you will find that comes out readily from the rear. Just a spline and a bearing with housing that bolts on.

    B7100HST Kubota

Hi Blackjack, I also found the manual states you shouldn't adjust the unit inside the frame, but I tried it anyway. It is easy enough to do (raise back wheels and adjust while running low rpm's) it is a pinpoint adjustment though, as one little tiny move in either direction can change wheel...

    Ballast Box Project

Best ballast box I found was box blade, inexpensive, heavy and you can grade with it as you work or back fill. I use mine all the time when my finish mower is not in use. Watch video on orange tractor talks.com on box blade use. With a little ingenuity you can even put a trailer hitch on it...

    L245DT front piniom broke

Hi Winnie couple, Your welder seems to know what he is doing, however (as I have done this before) take both pieces to machine shop and in a lathe, drill and ream a hole in each piece, then press a dowel pin to hold both pieces together, this lines them up perfectly, then grind groove between...

    B7100HST Kubota

Hi all, I checked the manual I have and it stated there might be dirt on the mechanism that controls the shifting ie. the bearing and fork inside the frame, so I cleaned it all up and sprayed diesel fuel on it to degrease it, then blew air lightly on it to dry it up. didn't work. Manual...

    L245DT Kubota

Hi Vic, thanks for the nice invite. I found the problem with the front wheel drive while I was digging our burning pile of tree stumps. Took the tractor back to basement and started taking left front wheel apart, to my astonishment, 2 bearings on the vertical shaft disintegrated, ruined the...

Hodge Yes, I could sure use the turnbuckles from the B7100 as I have one also and I have quick hitch (I made myself) but still have to adjust the play in the arms so implement doesn't sway either side of tractor. If you could send them I would surely pay the shipping. quinka Frank email...
