    Chain hooks

I used 3 weld-on 3/8" grab hooks (right/center/left) and 2 weld-on shackle clevis mounts above the FEL attach points. I've standardized on 5/16" chain and have about 240 feet of various lengths with different hooks (slip/grab/log choker) and keep several double clevis chain links to make up for...

When would you replace mower blades (B2601)

Personally, I'd say it's time to retire them. I wouldn't sharpen the new ones (the factory may know what's doing) you never really want a real sharp edge. Consider having two sets so you keep mowing and dress the other set at your convivence. As always do as you feel is best.

    Where does it go

Be glad you found it. When reinstalling it, back off the nut and use an additional nut to lock in the stud, then tighten the original nut to specs..

MX6000 50hr Service - Does this look normal?

I'd do a complete change and see what comes out of the bottom drains. Hopefully the filters are catching everything. By any chance did you operate the tractor with the brakes on?

King Kutter XB rotary mower blades operation & removal

Give yourself enough room to work, remove the driveshaft, as mentioned, try to hang the deck with one side resting on the ground, if you have a cutting torch with a gouging tip wash the head off the blade bolts, then go to work on the hub. Good penetrant, wooden wedges (under the blade strong...

King Kutter XB rotary mower blades operation & removal

Most boxes use a castellated nut with a cotter pin, if it in fact is spot welded be careful to remove all the weld before backing off the nut, you may want to pick up another nut and pin. If the stump jumper needs to come off be prepared for war, legally I can't say how I got one off, although I...

    Ground hog problem

I've had problems with armadillos, when I find the entrance and I can get close enough I have a 15- foot length of 2-inch flexible metallic conduit, stick in the entrance, stuff a burlap sack around the pipe, slip the other end onto the tractor exhaust pipe and give it 15 minutes.

King Kutter XB rotary mower blades operation & removal

If it were mine and the deck didn't have an access panel / hole to remove the blades, there would be. Also, the gear boxes I'm familiar with have a tapered splined output shaft, I prefer to remove and use anti-seize. If it has a shear pin, I like to remove and apply ant-seize to the input shaft...

    Pulling privet

Privet is child's play, wait until you start removing Tallow trees, their root system is way more extensive. Both are invasive and gifts from Asia. Also, Formosa trees need to be kept at bay.

    Lawn Mower Blades

There are many blade manufacturers, and you usually get what you pay for. I suggest asking the dealership about quantity pricing. I believe firmly that the prices for consumables (blades, oil/air/fuel filters, belts, etc. aren't going to drop.

    Coupling for grapple not connecting

Do as the others have said, I had a similar problem and there was a small nick on the face of the female coupling, once filed it worked fine. At first, I didn't think it mattered but it did.

Stripped oil plug threads lower knuckle

I'm not a fan of modifying from original, consider removing the left side plug and getting the correct size plug and thread restorer. A tapered wooden will get you out of the woods.
