Hello, first time poster, long time lurker. Thanks for all the information everyone here is providing. Yesterday I was doing the 50hr maintenance on my MX6000 at 67hrs. Procedure went smooth but as I pulled off one the hydraulic filters I noticed a piece of black rubber in the filter. It appears to be part of the rubber gasket or some additional gasket material somehow got into the filter during manufacturing. I am leaning towards it being the gasket because that filter was way tighter than the other. I have seen this before from over tightening and wasn't to concerned until I started to pour the hydraulic fluid from the filter into the catch can. I noticed it being darker than any other fluid I have dumped in other tractors. I have read here or elsewhere at the 50hr maintenance the hydraulic fluid is clean. Attached are a couple of pictures. The picture of the oil actually has a flashlight shining toward the camera. History on the tractor usage has been minimal. Snow plowing, grapple, and bucket work only. All equipment was brand new. So what are your opinions on this? I am considering doing a whole fluid change and possibly an analysis on the fluid. I have several kits handy. Thanks for any responses.

I did the 50 hour service on my MX6000 at 56 hours. The SUDT that came out was crystal clear and no debris on the filter. I would insist that the dealer drain and replace your fluid as a warranty repair. It seems to me that somehow water got into your system. IDK about the rubber material on the filter.
The “rubber” piece just looks like excess sealant used to seal the case, not unusual. Good luck on trying to get a dealer to do a “warranty” fluid change…

I do a lot of 1st 50-hour services on the L series, this is pretty much normal. Some have less debris, some have more.
The black strip is nothing more than sealer that was squeezed out of a joint inside the trans-axle during assembly.
Your picture shows why it is so important to properly service your equipment as per the manual.

The black strip of sealant isn’t concerning to me. The appearance of the fluid is definitely cause for concern.
I think I would do a fluid analysis as I might help justify a warranty fluid exchange. I would think either Kubota or your dealership would goodwill the fluid exchange provided something comes back on the fluid analysis as not being proper. Are you thinking of Blackstone for the analysis? If you do can you post results?

The oil in the picture is what was poured out of the filter. I have no doubts that it is dirty.
Yes this is what poured OUT of the filter. I have a busy schedule this week but will try to get it out for anaylsis.
I'd do a complete change and see what comes out of the bottom drains. Hopefully the filters are catching everything. By any chance did you operate the tractor with the brakes on?
