Just curious, I am not getting one at this time but if I was I would be looking at the narrower width. Why would 80” not be enough if you never plan on any implement being over 7’?

I am 5’11” and 210 and there is lots of room in my LX

I am probably going to wait until mid April to swap the blower and loader. We have had some huge dumps in April over the years.

Yep, now that winter is probably done, lol. All warranty work. Nobody was able to tell me why the impeller shear bolt failed. When the season is over I plan on taking that bolt out and making sure that fan spins freely. I will probably put never seize on that shaft.

S-G-R, did you happen to talk to dealer about our issues? I would take your impeller shear bolt out and make sure that baby spins. Way too many failures. Good luck!

Me too, we have had 3 decent snowfalls this year. I did not have my blower for the first 2. I had 0 issues blowing snow the first 36 years I lived where I currently live. Kubota better figure it out or their snow removal sales will be hurt significantly.

So all is good, fixed with warranty, although nobody could tell me why the shear bolt failed🤔

They warrantied my blower but your issue was the same as mine. Maybe the 1/8” of orange paint combined with the grade 5 has the strength of a grade 8, lol

If this thing lets me down again I will be looking at snow pushers.

I found out from Kubota Corporate that it is under warranty until 5/23. It is at the dealer. I will let you know what the damage was. I was able to borrow a trailer.

I gave up for now on removing the shear plane. Rear blade it is for the time being. I will survive as long as we don’t get the big dumps. I thought Wolfmans idea was going to work until one of the blades wedged into the housing. Still zero separation between the fan and shear plane.

I would try a back blade turned backwards so it does not dig, low cost and useful for a lot of things. If you don’t like it, sell it, won’t be hard.

I am surprised there is a grade 8 involved anywhere.
