    L3400 R1 to R4 tires, please help!

I can't tell you what you need but I can suggest your best deal may be to get tires and wheels as a package at your dealer.

    Kubota MX5200 no crank.

Re: Kubota 5200 no crank. I did a bit of surfing. You can check the manual for a possible listing of error codes. You can also look for a broken or disconnected sensor on the right side of the transmission. That's all I've found from the little research I've done but feel free to surf.

    bx 2670 power steering leak

I appreciate that tidbit of information, thank you. I do not have a BX myself but I did forward the information to a friend who does. Perhaps it will save him some future grief.

Tractor driving really slow on flat ground

The hours seem somewhat low for it but your symptoms sound as though the clutch may be slipping. Check the manual for how to adjust it.

    Batteries

You can take your battery to a dealer and have it load tested. That will give you an idea of how much more life remains. I'm not sure harsh winters are as rough on batteries as hot summers. In any case, as you've learned there is no hard and fast rule for a battery's life.

How to properly shift gears in a L175

When the tractor is cold it's best to let it run a few minutes to begin circulating and warming the hydraulic fluid. When checking fluid level be sure to do it with the three point all the way up. Different models of tractors have different methods of checking hydraulic fluid level. Some use...

L3200 blowing white smoke under load

The owner's manual should have instructions for where and how to bleed air from the system. If you don't bleed the air it probably won't start.

    BX1850 questions

You'd have to look it over for condition and make sure everything works. Look for leaks and stuff as you would if car shopping. You should know about the owner's maintenance schedule and how well maintenance was kept up. Are fluid levels up and do fluids look okay. Check the air cleaner...

    Hood Latch Woes

Thanks for pointing out the issue. Apparently it was a common enough problem that Kubota has redesigned the latching mechanism and in addition the hood now raises with a gas strut like a car hood or trunk.

    Hood Latch Woes

Sometimes bolts do come loose on their own. Try an application of blue Loctite or Vibritite VC-3 to keep things from shaking loose in the future.

Kubota l175 hard starting and other issues...

The glow plugs are all wired in parallel. With them undisturbed if you put one meter lead on the top of the glow plug and ground the other end your are checking them all (both?) simultaneously. You need only disconnect wires to remove them or check them individually - though all will probably...

Kubota l175 hard starting and other issues...

Well, at free you got an excellent deal!! You can check the glow plugs with an ohmmeter. I they read open from the terminal to ground they're bad. Normally they're a very low resistance - they're electric heaters. Some plugs read a low resistance (short) when they go bad. It depends on the...

L3750 Oil leak PTO, Leak near fuel lines.

For the engine compartment leak I'd clean it up well - probably with a spray cleaner, dry it, and try to pinpoint the leak. It may be something as simple as tightening a bolt or fitting. Of course it could also be seeping at a crack in the casting somewhere.

Messick's shipping. You've got to be kidding me!!!

Shipping seems to get higher over time and they probably have a handling and packing fee built into that number. I tend to buy a lot of small parts from eBay for that reason but use care - the least expensive stuff tends to be shipped from China so delivery can be a couple months out.

    Cruise control ? on L 3400 HST

Check your owner's manual. It gives the conditions under which the cruise is supposed to disengage. I think applying brakes is one of them.

Looking for a mow tractor under DPF/Tier IV emissions for farm use

I got an L2501 primarily for mowing duty. It effortlessly pulls a five foot King Kutter rotary mower up and down the hills on my ten acres. I have no trees but do mow around the sagebrush. I did look at the L3301 but only until I learned it had a dpf. I'll avoid emissions as long as I can...

    Barn/shop

Pole barns are easy to extend or add on to. The best bet in my mind is to build it tall enough that the entrance doors are on the eave side not the end. It's easier to extend from the end than the side. Build what your can reasonably afford. It won't be big enough.
